I started working right away after I returned, so I couldn't find a time to leave a review up until today. Hotel Gerloczy had everything you would wish from an ideal hotel -- absolutely beautiful, clean, warm room, great location, and even a top-notch restaurant on the ground floor. But what distinguishes Gerloczy even further is their genuine welcome and professional service. The staffs truly made me feel cherished and included throughout the whole stay, not just as a stranger or simply a customer. One day, I will visit Budapest again solely for Hotel Gerloczy. It really is a special stay, I can't recommend you more. Last but not least, extra thanks to Szonja for her kindness. Until we meet again!

Everything! Location super-central. Our attic room was perfect, squeaky-clean with gorgeous green-tiled, heated floor bathroom. Gerlóczy‘s atmospheric surroundings and Parisian decor. Handy elevator, but also fantastic spiral staircase that accessed all floors. Added the breakfast option to room which generously included all breakfast items on menu—delicious and beautifully-plated! But what really made our stay extra great was all the friendly and helpful staff: from Sonja at the front desk who spent much time helping us with deciding what sights to visit, Mehti in the restaurant, and another employee at the front desk who offered to lend us his own umbrella on a rainy day when all the hotel’s stock had already been borrowed. We sadly didn’t get the names of everyone to give a special shout-out, but they all added to the charm of this hotel. Will definitely rebook our next trip to Budapest!

Central Location - recommended

Great location, very central but also very quiet. Lovely helpful staff, both reception and restaurant staff. Beautiful upgrade to an older building with a lovely stair case. (There is also a lift).

I loved staying here! The room was beautifully furnished and decorated and the floor to ceiling curtains were everything. Even the bathroom was gorgeous. The whole place definitely had a historic and vintage feel to it. The spiral staircase was amazing and there is also a lift. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and assisted me in making the most of my time in Budapest.

Excellent boutique hotel, great location

We loved staying here. A fabulous old building renovated with all the best original features. The location is excellent, next to but not in the entertainment areas and easily walkable to the river and all the sights. The restaurant has a Paris cafe feel, and the food is top notch, we dined like kings.

Lovely, quirky hotel out of the busyness of central Pest but still close to everything. The room was fabulous - I was up in the attic with a platform bed which I loved - and the restaurant excellent. Highly recommended!

A fairytale stay

This hotel was perfect for our Budapest stay(4d,3 nights). Location was central to everything we needed to see on our visit. The hotel was so welcoming and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached was outstanding! I wish we would have eaten there more often. Add the breakfast option. Great value and wonderful food and many choices. Would definitely stay there again.
