  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. The lower chapel dedicated to St. Basil the Great is a dark Romanesque structure that remains virtually unchanged. The venerated relic is in the upper chapel, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style during the 16th century and renovated multiple times during the 19th century in Gothic Revival style. Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. 地點就在老城區內超方便，旁邊就有付費停車場！有提供美味的歐式早餐～

飯店早餐很不錯，房間還算滿大，窗外風景很美～住宿地點就在老城區內，原本有預定車位結果到的時候說沒有車位了，但櫃檯接待人員有跟我們說哪裡可以停車場，也算方便！接待人員也很熱心～

We had an excellent stay in a lovely hotel. Its in a centre location yet far enough away from amny noise. The room wad clean and well presented. The bathroom was very large, the bedroom was very clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast wad delightful full very fresh with freshly made eggs anyway you like it.

My son and I stayed here for a city break in Bruges. We loved the location, the hotel is right in the centre, 1 minute from the square. We felt very safe walking back in the evening. The staff were very friendly and let us keep our bags in the hotel once we had checked out. The breakfast was great, lots of options and freshly cooked egg to your specifications. Lovely, spacious room, and the bathroom room had 2 sinks. The bath was very big. We will definitely come back!

Parkeren in de buurt van het hotel is goed mogelijk. Slechts 150mtr is een grote parkeergarage met veel mogelijk op electrisch laden. Hotel is zeer goed, een lekker ontbijt met veel keuze. Er wordt gevraagt hoe en in welke vorm de eitje wilt. Erg lekker. Kamer is ruim, schoon, goede bedden en een fijne badkamer.

Das Hotel liegt absolut zentral – besser kann man in Brügge kaum übernachten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, und das historische Gebäude hat einen besonderen, charmanten Charakter. Die Zimmerausstattung ist zwar etwas älter, was aber gut zum Konzept passt. Etwas störend waren die Flecken auf den Sitzsofas, hier könnte mehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet werden. Die Holztreppen verleihen dem Haus zwar Atmosphäre, sind aber beim Hoch- und Runtergehen recht laut. Das Parkhaus befindet sich nur rund 200 Meter entfernt, was für Autofahrer sehr praktisch ist. Insgesamt ein schönes, authentisches Stadthotel mit Charakter und idealer Lage.

Excellent in every way!

We really couldn’t fault this lovely little hotel. The staff we so friendly and helpful, the accommodation lovely and the breakfast very good and plenty of choice. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff couldn’t have done more to help us. Every request we made was done with a very welcome smile. We will definitely be going back in the future and can definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel is in a 14th century building and was really nice. We had to climb a wooden spiral staircase (probably original) to get our cute room. The included breakfast was good and satisfying. The staff were AMAZING other than me trying to explain that the WiFi in our part of the building could not access the internet. This was annoying but a small downside to a quaint hotel with great service.

Great little hotel

Service was excellent, super helpful and very friendly. Nice and easy to chat to and lots of great information. Room is small and basic, quite old decor, but bathroom is super modern and fresh. Great location and walkable, excellent stay overall.

Meget venlig vært, som gav en hurtig og grundig intro til seværdigheder i nærområdet. Fulgte med til værelset og guidede grundig til parkeringen, som var lidt væk fra hotellet. Meget lækker morgenmad.
