I knew going in this would not be a 5 star experience. We just needed a place to stay over night to break up a road trip across Texas. It was inexpensive and convenient to a place to eat. The receptionist, I think her name was Skylar?, was very nice as we checked in our room. She was helpful in suggesting places to eat. When we went to our 2nd floor room and walked in, I knew immediately that we could not stay in the room. It had a terrible musty smell, one that I was unsure of its source but felt it might be mold. I was afraid the hotel was booked from a telephone conversation I overheard Skylar had with another guest on the phone so I was prepared to just accept we would not be staying in the hotel and might not get our prepaid room fee refunded. Long story short, Skylar was able to find another room on the third floor that worked for us so we stayed. The only other concern was that the free breakfast was not very good, but I got a cup of coffee and got on the road.

When I got in the room there was still hair in tub and on bed, shower barely worked, shower would not turn on properly, water was still coming out facet filling tub while shower was running, ac did not get very cold and sounded very bad. The breakfast was great staff friendly, room could have been clean better.
