「We had a wonderful stay while attending a wedding at watermouth cove. The view from our room was incredible, the room was super spacious and comfortable and the hospitality from Chris including a very hearty and delicious breakfast was superb. It’s also in a beautiful quiet location right next to a cove where you can walk and swim.」

「I originally stayed at this B&B about 20 years ago while walking the coastal path, & decided to return as the village was in an ideal place for our touring holiday. The steep driveway & smallish space made for tricky parking with a large car, but doable. Our room was clean & comfortable, if a little dated in style. The owners were welcoming & helpful. Breakfast the next morning set us up for the day. We had a meal in the pub near the beach, & took a stroll around the village.」

「The place itself is unique, very quiet amazing views all around, very clean inside the apartment and the place is very nice, the owners are amazing, kind , lovely people, can’t wait to visit them again, we can highly recommend it to anyone interested visiting this part of the country. Staff were great especially Lorraine, who gave us a great welcome to the hotel and gave my wife a picture of Elvis when we left, because my wife was wearing an Elvis t-shirt. Lots of veggie options on the breakfast menu. The bed was comfortable, and it was nice to have a bath in room 1.」

「This is a traditional old style hotel. May not be ultra modern but full of charm and character and wonderful staff. Always a pleasure to stay. The restaurant is top notch for both breakfast and evening dinner.」

「Nice position above the town and for exploring the local area. Expect to be challenged by the odd hill or two but you are rewarded by fantastic views. The deluxe studio was small and well equipped but not really “deluxe”. If you moderate your expectations this place provides everything you need for a stay in the area.」

「Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future.」

It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away.」

「The property seems to be family owned and seemed to be run a bit slap dash. The pictures online have had some photo shopping and first impressions were a bit of a letdown. Staff were thin on the ground and some were inexperienced in hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, although we did look in a suite which looked really nice so I would suggest you book one of these if you go. Excellent breakfast and food at the bar at night was excellent. Big up to the chef. The hotel is well located to...
