Highly recommend this place!
From the outside this place looks a little run down and unwelcoming, I'll admit. However the staff are friendly and the rooms are extremely well decorated, spacious and comfortable. We had a room on the top floor with a patio and loved our views from there. It overlooked the Presidential Palace and Bratislava Castle. There were also chairs outside so we enjoyed sitting in the evenings with a drink watching the world go by. The room was big, airy and bright with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and the shower very good with a nice temperature and water pressure. Pension Petit is highly recommended and we would definately return to this hotel if we ever returned to Bratislava.

Great location and friendly reception staff. Room was fine and quiet - reasonable value for money, though bed was never made, dirty towels were only replaced once in 5 days and no toiletries were left until day 3. It's also very busy in the cafe next door at breakfast time, as the public are invited to come in at the same time as hotel guests - only a couple of tables are available for groups of 3 or more, so be prepared to wait around! Overall, it's acceptable if you want cheap accommodation in a decent location for transport and sightseeing.

Get what you pay for
It is centrally-located. The rooms are clean and the lobby is. The rest of the hotel is dirty. My room overlooked the courtyard and around 5 am someone always came out to set up for breakfast but would talk so loud it would wake me up. No air con, and even though it says daily housekeeping, no one came in my room for the entire four days. Only two plugs in the room - one for the tv and one for the fridge. There are two in the bathroom. Pros: Convenient, spectacular front desk workers.

A nice basic hotel between the train station and the sites in old town Bratislava.All easily within walking distance. Courteous helpful staff answered all our questions, and offered services like luggage storage. One Thing, I used Expedia's search filter for breakfast included locations, yet it was not. We bought the breakfast, and it was good. Not the hotels fault, just a lesson to read everything twice.

Stayed one night in Bratislava - hotel was 20 min walking from the train station and 5 min to the main square. The front desk was super helpful. There is an old elevator which I was happy to see for my luggage! All in all, nothing crazy but clean and nicely located.

Clean, spacious, in walking distance from the old town centre. We parked for free on a street behind the pension, however, it's very busy. Very safe and quiet area. We arrived in the evening, the gentleman at the reception was very helpful and recommended a pub to have dinner.

Pretty good place to stay!
It was really quite lovely, and it was super simple to check-in and check-out. People were complaining about paying city taxes (despite the fact that Hotels.com notifies you of this), so I thought that was a little ludicrous; people just need to read more about their stay, and it's only 1.70 Euro per person per night. Anyway, they were really responsive to when we needed help or assistance; if you had questions about the town, the staff were incredibly helpful and willing to help you find things to do. The building is a little old (including the elevator), but it's still taken care of and not a bad deal. If I were visiting Bratislava for a vacation, I'd stay here again. The WiFi was easy to connect to and free (the former is something I've found is sporadically difficult).

Location is great - right at the top of old town and a close walk to the train station. Price/value is unbeatable. We stayed here as a family - our kids are ages 10 and 14. For one night we had plenty of space. The room was clean. Staff were friendly and super helpful.

this place was nothing like website pictures, my wife sat on the minifridge,we didn't even have a chair in our large apartment. towels with holes, wifi range was the door where we stood to use our pad. grumpy owner on top of that, skip this one

We stayed here only 2 nights and have one night was terrible because they gave us the worst room in the hotel. The room was too small, it is good for one person but not for two people. Next day we exchange room, thank you very much to Martin! Another room was big size and pretty comfortable. Anyway I would recommend it to people who like to travel and don't seat in the hotel.

The name on the door is 'Pension Petit' although it is more widely marketed as 'Hostel Petit'. The building is run down but in a central location. I was slightly overcharged from the confirmed reservation price, but not enough for me to feel it was worth raising with the man at the reception desk. The lift was ancient, handles were falling off doors, the bed was hard and the shower small with just a curtain. There was no air conditioning - not even a fan - and the stairway was in total darkness even in the middle of the afternoon when we checked in. There was a fridge in the room, which was an unexpected bonus, and wifi worked ok. The main plus point is the central location.

Basic but ok, good location
The hostel is very basic but the room was clean, the shower worked and so did the Wifi. The mattress was a bit of the thin side and the receptionists did not seem to know much about what was going on in the city event-wise but they were very helpful otherwise. The level of customer service is much better in general than it used to be, say, 5 years ago! There is some building work happening next door but they didn't start til about 7:30 or 8.

The hostel was within easy reach from the airport via central train station. It was only a 5 min walk to the centre.((which was pedestrianised ) The staff were friendly & welcoming.The breakfasts were excellent . The hostel was just round the corner from the bike hire place & the ride to the (cycle) routes along the Danube could be done off road ( little bit of pavement which the locals weren't bothered)

The positives start and stop with the location
Great location and that's about it really. Hotel staff weren't particularly pleasant, nor was there even anyone at the reception room when I arrived (around 6 pm). First night was getting ready to sleep and noticed a bug crawling along my pillow. The room and bathroom also had unpleasant odours. If you're strictly looking for a place to sleep for cheap this will do, but if you plan on spending much time in the room I would recommend looking elsewhere.Locat

On arrival we asked for a late check out. We offered to pay extra, so the recepionist thought he'll take advantage of that and told us to book one more night, even though we needed only 2-3 hours. He was the only recepionist who wasn't nice all the others were very helpful. The most important thing that you don't notice when you check in is that there's is a contruction site on the back of the hostel and they drilling and make loud noises at 7 am. Also, the curtains are almost transperent so there's no privacy in the room. The rooms were pretty clean and nice, but the shower was a little bit annoying because they put a small curtain that doesn't really prevent water from going out. The location was great and breakfast was pretty good.

Great Value Hotel
Great value stay. Next to the Presidential Palace and close to the Old City but quiet enough, even though it looks onto a main road. The room was clean and big and had a fridge and a kettle, which was welcome. Although there was no air-con, there were shutters and they helped keep the room cool. I had breakfast oe morning and it was good.

Nice Bratislava Budget Hotel
The room was comfortable and clean. The air conditioning was a plus as it was quite warm during our stay. The elevator is quite old and small (2 people with backpacks or 3 without). It is better to use the stairs.

Good location to downtown and to the bus stn. Staff members are very kind and elegant. Bed sheets are replaced every other day. A cup, a glass, and a spoon in the room need to be cleaned more. Next time I stay there, I'll bring bottles of water and long cables for mobilephone. Staff let me know that there's no AC, but it's not very cold at the room, thought it was cold outside.

WiFi ok. Access to the Old Town is great. 5min walk. The only remark is that the pillows are excessively high. I would stay there again. Simple hotel but exactly what is needed for exploring Bratislava
