"Super welcoming staff - really made a difference. This is a great place to stay if you’re flying to/from Stansted as it’s a far pleasant experience than the airport hotels.
It was so lovely that I’d book a weekend break there to explore the local area more."

"Warm, friendly welcome from owner Anel who went out of his way to cater for my allergy. Very tidy and well-appointed. Comfortable lodging. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast, choosing to find a cafe later in the old town. Great location. Despite being by the road, my room was quiet. "

"I stayed here one night before an early flight from stanstead. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 min drive to the airport. The chap at front desk was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were both clean as was the shower. The room had tea making facilities and a hair dryer. The bed was not so good very bumpy, you could feel the springs, and parking is not free as stated I was charged £6. 50. Overall ok for a one night stay. "

Holiday Inn Express London Stansted Airport by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room with all amenities working. Friendly check in staff. Breakfast was included and ticked all the boxes, it even had a nice touch of offering a hurry bag for your pastries. The down side was the £4 shuttle charge each way. I would have been nice to know this before booking. "
"Very convenient hotel nearby the Stansted airport. The basic rooms are very basic, mine was lacking the shampoo and hand lotion and the wardrobe's door were broken.
The bed was super comfortable and the curtains perfectly blocked out the outside world. The room was super clean and the fridge ready to store your own stuff.
All in all, great spot to stay the night before an early flight from Stansted."
"Parking was basically right outside the first night. Then car park was full for the next two so had to park in the main services car park (which did not feel very safe atall).
Staff there were amazing as always!
We were probably in the worst room location though. We were right at the front of the building amd there was people outside smoking near enough all night so was unable to have windows open. I do believe the room we stayed in was directly under a staff only area (laundry room or something maybe) as there was banging all day and night. So not exactly the easiest of sleeps atall.
Hair dryer was broken so unable to use. And staff weren't able to provide a plug in one which was rather annoying one morning."
"Mixed feelings. The room itself was fine, the experience not so great. I had chosen this hotel in part because it was a good location and had an EV charger. The EV charger was not working and the experience in reporting and trying to get resolved was infuriating. I had to go elsewhere and charge.
The EV alone I probably would have overlooked, particularly as it involved a third party. However, upon check out the hotel attempted to charge me for a dinner that I hadn’t ordered or had! Ironically I had eaten elsewhere whilst waiting for my car to charge. Again, mistakes can happen, but the receptionist was at first insistent that as that’s what her computer said, I had to pay it! Eventually sorted, but took way too long, making me late for an meeting, and did not appreciate the accusatory manner. So an okay stay bookended by two poor and frustrating experiences."
"Nice hotel in a good location, my only gripe was the TV had subtitles on and was locked out so you couldn't remove them. Price is quite high for what you get. Had an accessible room which I am never keen on."
