"Came up with my son for March Break expecting a higher-end experience for the price. Instead, it felt like a blatant cash grab. If this is the level of experience, I would have stayed in Toronto. The “kids zone” was embarrassing. A conference room with broken bouncy castles and unusable games. Calling that a March Break activity is misleading at best. The worst part was the food and service. We ordered a simple takeout meal from the Maple Pub that somehow cost $86. We were told 10 to 15 minutes. It took 45 with zero communication. Staff were dismissive and made me feel like I was bothering them just for asking about my order. When the food finally came, items were missing including drinks and desserts. My son was starving and at that point I had no energy left to deal with it. This is the kind of experience that feels completely wrong. Overpriced, understaffed, and poor quality across the board. For a place like Deerhurst, this is honestly unacceptable. Running a business like this and charging premium prices is part of a bigger problem. People deserve better than this. We will not be back and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place if you are expecting anything close to quality or value."

"Clean room, nice view"

"We went in the winter, so activities were very limited, but we enjoyed a relaxing stay. The saunas, hot tub and breakfast were really great. We saw many deer roaming The property. Our room was beautiful and The view of the snowy lake was gorgeous. The pub downstairs was quaint and the food was pretty good. The included breakfast was really delicious and had a great selection. A bit of a drive, but we hiked at Huckleberry lookout and Hardy lake. "

"This is the second time we stayed here. Absolutely amazing. Clean, quiet & great service. Lots of amenities. Restaurant, pool, sauna and fresh coffee brewed in the lobby. Comfortable stay!.. This is a very nice place to stay, dine and just relax. Looking forward to returning once again. :) "

"Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Convenient location for those visitng the Algonquin / Arrowhead area. My only slight would be the room was quite small. Along with the tiny wall mounted TV. "

"Everything was great, only downside was I got a balcony room with a view specifically only to find out that they lock the balconies shut during the winter so you cannot use them."

"staff were amazing, literally all of them. The building is being renovated by complete amateurs though and there were no notices when booking. Water issues, painting everywhere, shotty work even while spreading grout over tile with salt and mud on them just kept spreading the grout. Hotel is dated left right and center so them doing the lobby is for astetics. Pool is outdated, woods moldy, carpets gross. Is what it is though. "
