Lots of fun hiking spots and star gazing but don't come in the summer unless you are fully prepared to stay inside.

I live in San Diego and visit Borrego Springs fairly regularly. I love the area. Beautiful scenery but also a friendly, welcoming community. Weekend trips to the desert have been really good for me!

Only one drawback to note about Borrego Springs. We were on a Jeep trip and broke down. The nearest availability of parts we needed was an hour's drive away. Strange, since so many people come to this area for this activity.

"Love visiting La Quinta and the team members are so helpful and welcoming. The resort is beautiful but the casitas are showing wear and need some upgrades, IMO. Ate at Adobe Grill this time and were pleasantly surprised by the vibe, live music and the food- it was good! Parking was a bit tough this visit bc there were several events/meetings in the resort but overall a good stay. "
"We walked into the beautiful lobby and were greeted by Marta, who offered a veggie and cheese plate and a seat on the patio to unwind.
We dropped off our bags and had a glass of wine to unwind from our drive up on the patio. The air was fresh and clean, and the views are amazing."
