After a long week of travel throughout France, this was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. It’s in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes walk from a tram line and wonderful restaurants. While we weren’t able to enjoy the morning breakfast or meet the hosts/ staff, the rest of the amenities were great, especially the amazingly comfortable bed. The front door is rather inconspicuous, so make sure you look for the sign on the wall. Overall, it was a pleasant stay away from the busyness of downtown Bordeaux.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here for our 2 year wedding anniversary! We loved the private patio area with chairs, the modern bathroom and storage within the bedroom, and the kitchen/breakfast area. The bed was also incredibly comfortable - the best I have ever stayed in outside of my home! The location is in a nice residential area, not far from the tram and a few local neighborhood restaurants. We felt very safe here, even walking around late at night. The kitchen was very convenient and well stocked with knives, plates, wine glasses as well and we were able to enjoy a nice wine and cheese evening on the patio by ourselves. Morning breakfast was lovely with plenty of both delicious and healthy items. We did notice that the door to the room was a bit thin and you were able to hear most movement/talking outside of the room, but we were some of the only guests here during our stay and were not bothered by the sound. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back! Thanks for a great stay :)

The parking that is advertised is street parking and an unofficial lot near a closed swimming pool/athletic center, about 4 minute walk away. Although we had no issues arise from leaving our car unattended for two different nights, I wasn't super comfortable with the situation. A car nearby had a window broken and two others had their side mirror broken. Also, out of an abundance of caution I wouldn't have let my wife park the car alone at night even though the neighborhood seemed simply residential and nice. The host was great and spoke some English. Nice sitting room/breakfast space and good breakfast provided. Tram stop was only a couple blocks away.

The name Luxury B&B says it all, outsanding. We (family of parents and 2 kids) stayed in the biggest room (rooftop appartment). Perfect room, a lot of space, beatiful decor, terrace to enjoy once the kids fell asleep. Family owned and family run: the owner and staff are charming, friendly and available

Une Guest House à l'image de Bordeaux

Mon compagnon et moi-même avons séjourné 3 nuits à la Guest House Volubilis pour partir à la découverte de la très belle ville de Bordeaux. Cette Guest House est idéalement située dans le quartier en plein renouvellement des Chartrons, à mi-chemin entre la cité du Vin et le coeur historique de Bordeaux. La proximité des quais pour une balade et l'efficacité du transport par tram sont également un avantage. Les consignes pour l'arrivée étaient très claires. Nous avons pu rencontré le propriétaire chaque matin au petit déjeuner. Il est convivial et très attentionné (j'ai même pu avoir du lait d'avoine pour mon café :-) ). Nous avons également pu échanger quelques mots avec les autres convives (allemands et néo-zélandais), c'est ce qui fait le charme des chambres d'hôtes. Cette Guest House est décorée avec goût et tout semble très récent. Je recommande vivement. Isabelle et Philippe
