My home is my castle

Ein wunderschönes Schloss in einem wunderschönen Park und herrlich ruhig. Es gab nur ein Menü, aber alles sehr gut gekocht und hat uns sehr geschmeckt.

Very relaxing stay, Jean-Marc was very helpful arranging wine tour to St-Emilion, making restaurant reservations and ordering taxis. Breakfast is available but other meals must be pre ordered with Jean-Marc.

This Is a unique hotel. The standard of maintenance and cleanliness was excellent and Jean Marc is a charming host. It is however more like a top notch B and B than a hotel. We loved it but those expecting a full service hotel might be disappointed.

Hotel di charme, consigliato!

Posto bellissimo, abbiamo dormito in una torre del castello e ci siamo rilassati nella splendida piscina in mezzo al verde. Proprietario davvero molto gentile e disponibile. La manutenzione del giardino potrebbe essere migliorata visto il costo del soggiorno.

Beautiful property, let down by a few things.

A beautiful property in the heart of wine country. Our room was spacious, with two twin rooms in a 'turret' for the children. Plenty of parking, not too large, and a wonderful restaurant nearby (it wasn't possible to have an evening meal in the chateau itself). Overall impressed, although on the downside, breakfast was very expensive, and checkin was hurried / rushed as the owner (who appeared to be alone) was going out (this was at 5pm in the afternoon so usual checkin times).

Oltre al prezzo un po’ elevato, l’esperIenza rimane globalmente positiva: pulizia perfetta, parco gigante e piscina. Il proprietario un po’ timido è da conoscere!

Exellence in Hospitality

Wonderful experience, excellent hospitality, attentive. Peaceful, comfortable, healthy breakfast, rejuvenating. Minutes from the lovely friendly village of Creon,10 minutes from Abbey De La Sauve Majeure, plenty of sight seeing and vinyard countryside. Magnificently beautiful Chateau.

Chateau and relais gem in Bordeaux Wine country

Idyllic location, beautiful chateau and relais, superbly remodeled inside. Great rooms, excellent beds, modern bathrooms. Host was very welcoming and gracious, excellent breakfast sitting on the terrace by the chateau and the lake. We loved every minute of our stay, within relatively close distance to Saint Emilion.

A beautiful hotel in magical grounds

We stayed for a week at the Chateau Camiac in August: Jean Marc, the owner and his team made us feel very, very welcome. The chateau is ideally located for horse riding, cycling and just relaxing in the beautiful grounds ... and we often went out on day trips to Bordeaux and the surrounding villages. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautiful , the food was excellent and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you :-) John and Tereza

Séjours insolite! Nous sommes ravie de notre séjour. Surpris en bien car le propriétaire, en même temps réceptionniste ainsi que maitre d'hotel, nous a up-gradé dans une suite dès notre arrivé. L'hôtel est dans un bon état, très propre, loin des foules et dans un calme absolu. Nous avons profité du séjours comme si nous habitions nous même dans ce château. Le propriétaire nous a planifié des visites de caves superbes. Nous a conseillés des restaurants dans les alentours. Nous le remercions de tout coeur. Nous recommandons cet hotel. Le seul bémol manque d'ambiance mais ca nous a pas trop dérangé...

A éviter!!!

Beaucoup de points négatifs qui expliquent cette note: - restaurant fermé le soir parce qu'il y avait de plus gros client qui avait réservé la salle pour eux, du coup ne pas tromper le client en mettant 4 étoiles sur le site - pas d'eau chaude à notre arrivée, quand on demande au propriétaire il nous demande à quelle heure on prendra notre douche le lendemain histoire d'économiser de l’électricité. Aucun geste commercial de sa part pour avoir pris une douche glacée à notre arrivée. - chemin non éclairé le soir pour revenir à notre chambre(surement histoire d'économiser encore de l’électricité) - un verre de vin du cubi facturé à 5€ et un café à 4€, ok on est dans un château mais quand même - Cadeau de bienvenu (indiquer dans la réservation d'hotel.com) absent. - propriétaire très désagréable, quand je lui demande gentillement si on peut visiter le chateau, il me répond très sèchement que non et qu'il n'y a que des chambres à voir. Le lendemain pas de vous avez bien dormi? Ça été votre séjour? c'était du au revoir et cassez vous. Certes le château est plutôt joli mais pour 200€ la nuit, c'est de l'hôtelerie de luxe et le service doit être impeccable ce qui n'était pas le cas.

High quality and ideal for stop-over.

This was a lovely hotel to stop off at on our way en-route to the south of France, or would be equally good for exploring Bordeaux and the Loire area. Recently refurbished it is a very attractive building and our room, in a converted barn, was excellent. The owner and his small team were great, although he is a little eccentric - in a good way! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
