I liked the history of the property and all of the interesting people who had stayed there. Room was large, water was hot, staff was very nice (could tell they were understaffed) However, the room was very cold and drafty. I had to ask for tape for door so we wouldn't freeze from the wind blowing around the door frame! It needs to have all the windows and doors' weatherstripping installed or replaced. All rooms need new lighting or light bulbs installed. Room was so dim, we pulled the lampshades off to see. Television was very small for 2024. Property was falling into disrepair with visible wood rot and paint flaking off. Additionally, there are no amenities, no game room, no exercise room, pool, or sauna. Breakfast was good, but 8:15am is too late to start for families who want to go out early for a hike or to ski at the local resorts. Should start at 6:30am. The term 'resort' should be lightly used.

The room carpet was dirty soem spots torn the chair in sitting room the plastic leather was coming off all other it and would stick to your clothing. MINI Refrigerator and mico wave would have been nice to have on the room. It was nice to see the history of the INN

VERY basic. On check in, you have to select a time for breakfast which opens at 0815. Buffet was very limited and cold. The room was hot(80-85) with no thermostat. Heat was coming from a metal box on the wall with a chain hanging out of a small hole.. front desk advised to pull the chain to adjust heat. She didn't know how it works, that's what she tells guests. It had a damper in it that changes for of heat. Could not sleep the first night because it was so hot even with the ceiling fan on(which was not balanced and rattled). There was a note on the wifi password that that advised the rooms are not refreshed? daily. If you have trash or dirty towels, call front desk. If you need more towels or toiletries come to front desk. Room and facilities were clean.

I choose the property for its' historical charm which I love! I commend the effort to bring the hotel to life after 25 years of vacancy. The building of course is old so I understand the system is hard to adjust but it would be helpful somehow make a way to better control the room temperature. We had the window open while heat was blasting (what a waste) to be able to sleep. The breakfast could use simple additions like a basket of cereal boxes or oatmeal, milk and maybe yoghurt in a bucket of ice since there is no refrigerator for people like myself who is not looking to eat cooked food.

Something is happening with this property and it is affecting staff. All are professional and efficient but some not as friendly as should be. Grant at the bar was great.

The hotel has a rich history, but unfortunately, it feels quite dated and is in need of significant updates. We stayed in a balcony suite, which was very drafty, making the room uncomfortably cold. The hot water took a long time to arrive, and the shower temperature fluctuated inconsistently. The walls are very thin. You can hear conversations from the rooms next door. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful. While the hotel has great potential, it desperately needs modernizing. We won’t be returning until improvements are made.

We enjoyed the history and preservation of the Inn; I wish we had been given access to the tea room for our family to eat lunch there as the hotel restaurants were not open on Thanksgiving. Friday morning’s breakfast was warmed over food from Thursday morning. There is no temperature control in some of the rooms and the first night was stuffy and hot on the third floor. The second night the staff adjusted the temperature a bit. Very short staffed on the holiday, but the staff who were there were kind

No hot water, carpets are nasty, no one to service rooms, restaurants unavailable except by reservation and then food was gross. We didnt get the room we requested for our anniversary. Ive stayed here many times but this time might be my last. Just horrible

There is no refrigerator in the room. You can’t control the heat so it was boiling hot on most days. You can only control the a/c. We booked breakfast at the hotel restaurant as it was complimentary but it took over an hour to get our food. The staff seemed annoyed anytime we asked them questions. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
