Kettle surprise!

The hotel and its facilities were generally excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient and proactive. The pool and open area were very, very good. The inclusive breakfast was good quality and plentiful. We had only one issue….we asked for a kettle as no in-room beverage service was provided and we were very surprised to find that we had to pay 5 Euros per day for it! We have never experienced this before.

We had a fantastic stay at the Relais Bellaria Hotel. The premises, including the amazing surrounding areas, are stunning to start with. The staff did a great job before our arrival and during our stay, and they were very attentive to our needs, as we had a disabled person in our party. The room faced a green area, and the only sound we could hear was birds chirping. Definitely recommended.

Ideal location outside the city centre with excellent transport links into Bologna and beyond; we did day trips to Rimini, San Marino and Venice with this hotel as a base covering Bologna in the evening. Don’t miss the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca: get the train from the main square! Staff at the hotel were superb and very helpful.

Negatives: the aircon in the rooms does not work. Though you feel it blowing out cold air, its not effective and we found it difficult to sleep as we were so got we had to use our own plug in fan. We were moved rooms two times after we found ant nests in the bathrooms. (This is common in italian establishments as they seek refuge in buildings to find water sources). The decor is basic, a tad outdated, smidhedbin waalls from previous guests, but otherwise a nice place to be. The balcony woth our room was pretty to look at, but as soon as you step on to it, you turn into a 4* meal buffet for all the bugs living out there. I spent two weeks in holiday travelling through europe and we didnt get a single bug problem or mosquito bite till coming here. The whole hotel grounds are covered in them. Positives: The staff are fantastic. Good English, polite, patient and courteous. Special thanks to the breakfast waiting staff who offer a friendly face in the morning. Breakfast had quite a lot on offer. A mix of vegetarian, cereal, breads, cakes and meats. The pool is nice, a little small, bar drinks and snacks available to buy. Two well maintained hot tubs (though mouldy around the edges)

Spent 2 days while touring Ferrari, Ducati and Lamborghini factories, we drove everywhere so it was very convenient for us, lots of parking available, hotel grounds are beautiful, pool is awesome, everything is clean and nicely maintained, great breakfast, friendly stuff, enjoyed our stay!

Checkin went well and the room was adequate. The pool was clean and in good condition, however the food and drinks were not good. Dinner was awful, the service was slow and poor even though there was only 5-10 tables that night. It took an age to be offered drinks and than even longer to be served them, so much so our starters arrived before the drinks. The food was so bad, my steak had 0 flavour, 0 seasoning and was so bland. No air con between the rooms and reception make for a very uncomfortable walk between the two The aircon in room stopped before heading to bed, and it was gone midnight till it was sorted and we could sleep. Until then we had to use ice packs to keep cool. Overall this was a very disappointing stay and i would not recommend to my friends
