They missed room service on sunday, wi-fi was charged an extra fee, the room is clean but very small, cable tv has the top package, and we were allowed late check-out for free. "My husband and l are from the USA and stayed for one week in February 2026 in a room with a king size bed and ocean views. I was very nervous about going to a remote island with no chain hotels or known car rental agencies. The island businesses are completely run by locals using whatsapp. Mar em Mim had only 12 reviews at the time l made the reservation, so it was kinda risky, but l it had everything l wanted.
I was so pleasantly surprised. The pousada (bed & breakfast) was exactly as pictured...
