Staff was very nice and accommodating. But the hotel was old, looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 70’s. Carpet in hallways were dirty and in some places had a funky smell. I give the staff kudos for being so nice and friendly in a tough kinda place.

They had homeless people living in it recently, the building was filthy and poor condition. Additionally there were prostitutes working out of the building as well.

I liked the breakfasr and it was near downtown. I didn't like the one elevator to get down. I didn't like that the pool looked dated. I loved the room. Was relieved it was comfortable, clean and pretty.

The building was filthy, Smelled of mold and mildew. There where holes in the wall. Keys wouldn't work. Door handle to our room was broken. And the building did NOT have air-conditioning as there ac unit had been broken for over a month. Not to mention the homeless and addicts that were aloud to live on the premises, without giving the paying customers notice of this. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE .

We previously stayed at the Red Lion about 2 1/2 years ago and we thought it was OK. This last trip was totally different. The hallway carpets were filthy and worn out, as was the upholstered chair in the room. There were also a number of large dogs on the premises and one charged at my wife who is incredibly fearful of large dogs having been attacked previously. My bed mattress pad had a large urine stain on it that they had tried unsuccessfully to wash out. It was gross. We won’t be back

The door to our room was broken, causing a significant delay to the use of our room. After it was "repaired", it was still difficult to open. The room itself had no functioning AC. The ice machine was full of green, brown, and black mold. The wood trim surrounding one of the entryways was detached. We decided to cancel. The lady at the front desk was kind and would have refunded us, however because we booked through Expedia, this was not possible. After discussing the situation with Expedia, they offered to contest and seek a refund on our behalf. Expedia emailed me this morning stating no refund will be offered. There is no longer any incentive to use Expedia to book a hotel, or anything else in my mind.

This property is beyond run down. There were hookers in the lobby. The room ac didnt work, so they put a portable unit in the room, but put the tube out the sliding glass door with no insulation, (suite) so the door was still open and letting in the hot air and bugs. All the furniture was run down, shaggy, faded, and broken. I would highly reccomend to not stay here. Lobby restrooms were unclean, and not stocked with supplies. Our check in time was 3pm. We got there at 3:30 and they said the room wasnt cleaned yet and to come back in 20 mins. We came back in 30, and it still wasnt ready. Simply put, trashy, ghetto, run down, and low quality.

The staff were amazing! The property however could use a major update. Almost everyday I had to have the key cards re-done due to them not opening the door despite not being near any electronics and there were often trash/linen left in the hallway overnight making the hallway smell weird. We also had an issue where the toilet would continue to run to the point where we had to adjust the handle multiple times in order to stop it. Definitely don’t expect glamour for the price.

We always stay there for our travels to Boise. It is conveniently located and has served us well. I did not like the lack of cleaning of the flooring underneath the bed. We dropped an item and saw a left-over baby bottle and years of untouched dust, etc. We left a note for the cleaning crew. I hope this will result in a change of policy. Having said all of this, we will remain loyal customers. 👍

Wheels on luggage carts were flat. Got in after a 12-hour drive and got a room that was under construction and the ceiling open. Received a new room and the air appeared to not work. Staff was very helpful and did the best they could. Wouldn't stay again.
