What dreams are made of An Unforgettable Maldives Escape at Veligandu Veligandu Resort & Spa delivered one of the absolute best holidays we’ve ever had in the Maldives. Having previously visited Dusit Thani, Amilla, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam World, Lily Beach, NH Collection Havodda, and Sun Siyam Olhuveli, we set a high bar. Veligandu easily rates right at the very top of that list alongside Dusit Thani the only two islands out of eight we would ever consider returning to. Our stay in Room 224, a Sunset Overwater Pool Villa, was nothing short of extraordinary. Waking up to those views and spending evenings by the private pool made for a seamless paradise experience. The hotel rooms are beautifully designed, the food across all dining outlets was incredible, and every member of the staff went above and beyond. A very special mention goes to Naveen, our host, who looked after us with exceptional care and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. For underwater enthusiasts, this island is phenomenal: Snorkeling: Simply world-class. We saw more marine life and rays here than on any other island, including a rare sighting of a porcupine ray. Scuba Diving: The diving is unbeatable. Madivaru Corner was, without a doubt, the best dive site we have ever done in the Maldives. A standout feature for us was the covered pickleball court.
