overall good experience, nice staff, decent food. Waitresses in casino weren't that friendly, we waited for over 30 minutes for her to come back to get our check. but overall it was a good hotel and room

The room was nice and clean. The shower was in need of a deep clean, but was usable. It was centrally located to downtown and made walking a breeze. I wish the bar or restaurant were open. We missed those, but the breakfast was good with different options.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and it won’t be our last. The rooms are always very clean, the pillow and beds are comfy. It’s set in a beautiful and quiet location, but close to town or an activity like fishing or hiking. Easy and no hassle to check in.

Yeah, so don't go looking for the Lake. Because there isn't one. It got that name because it used to flood in that area centuries ago. Arcata is a 10 minute drive and theviews of the mountain are very pretty.
