FYI,The hotel closes at 11pm.If you arrive after 11,you hv to call a # to reach the “building Mgr” who doesn’t answer+his VM is full. We arrived at 10:45pm.Mgr said, breakfast was served at 7am+Starbucks opened at 730am.He handed me our room keys.I arrive at the parking lot, room key was denied. The kiosk suggested I take a parking ticket.I was confused bc I had just paid $6 a day parking. We were tired so I pulled the ticket thinking I’d handle it in the morning. We get to the rm and our keys don’t work.As we’re trying to get the key to work,we hear someone say, hello…we’re occupying this room! It’s 11pm and we’re trying to get into an occupied rm.We head to the front desk and there’s the sign.Call this # for help.I called multiple times, straight to VM.Now it’s 11:30 and there’s another cpl waiting to check in.Their calls are also going to VM.I found a house phone+began calling the #’s in the room key folder. No luck.I tried 0 and was able to reach an operator. She put me thru to campus police. They said this isn’t abnormal. She’d TRY to reach someone and asked me to sit tight bc there was NO TIMETABLE for a response.CP had to come to the hotel to find the mgr,who finally arrived at the desk around 12 with a bad attitude bc we called CP.We finally got to our room at 1215.
The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. The rest of the stay was great. The staff was very apologetic and helpful. BTW, there was no breakfast just Starb’s.
