A lovelly pub set in a pretty Dorset village where we overnighted enroute to a further Dorset location. Comfortable large rooms, good food from the restaurant and friendly staff. I'd happily stay here again..

Superb service - everyone who looked after us was friendly, professional and efficient. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast was also absolutely great - lovely quality, very generous and served by lovely friendly staff. Our little dog was made as welcome as the humans, which is also very important to us. Aside from all that, it’s a beautiful village and our accommodation was clean and spacious. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend- we will be back! Thank you.

The food - all locally sourced and grown - was excellent. Service was impeccable. The rooms were reasonably spacious and well-appointed. The only glitch was flaky wifi that did not work well in our room, but in the overall experience, that was a minor point.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate your positive comments. Wifi is an issue which we are always trying to improve, signal is better within the main building but due to old, thick walls we do still have some issues in our guests rooms.

The Langton arms
The Langton arms is set in a small village. The roads to and from the hotel are small country roads, single track in places, which are quite difficult to negotiate in the dark. The food is really good, with a choice of both meat and vegetarian options. The accommodation is set apart from the main building - in chalet type accommodation. The bathroom was a bit cold, but the heating in the bedroom was more than adequate. The room was comfortable and clean. In the pub and restaurant, it was very difficult to get a phone signal, but was ok in the room. WiFi overall was good. Good number of beers on tap. I was visiting someone in Blandford forum - so the location was ideal. Staff were courteous and friendly

Pub in the country
Very quiet surroundings. TV did not work, and WiFi extender needed turning on, which I found out on day 2. The room was very clean and had tea and coffee maker nicely laid out. I found the menu a little limited, and would loved to see a steak pie in the offering. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were pleasant. In the future it might help if an electric car charge point was put in place for those who have electric or hybrid vehicles.

Thank you for your review. Apologies the tv would not work, if we had know we would have swapped it for you. It is a shame you missed our steak pie, it is on the menu 90% of the time, the beef used comes from our own farm and is always very popular. The closest electric charge point is in Wimborne. We do hope you will come and visit us again. Kind regards

Excellent country pub, staff very friendly, food very good, rooms nice and clean, The only downside from my point of view is my EE mobile phone signal was very poor and the pub wifi is weak in the room

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately mobile signal is extremely poor in the area, we do have BT hubs and boosters at various points around the building but sometimes the signal is still poor. We do hope to see you again soon.

Hotel set in beautiful countryside
Arrived quite late and met by a very friendly member of the team. Taken to our room which was very clean excellent facilities and a very comfortable night had. Breakfast was again excellent with fresh produce and a very lovely lady that dealt with us. Beautiful hotel and staff that couldn't be more helpful. Would recommend to family and friends.

Great food but no heating
The Langton arms is a lovely traditional pub with rooms. Check in was quick and staff very friendly. Room is coach house style with plenty of room. Food is fantastic here and best pie I’ve ever had.! However the big let down for me was that the room was incredibly cold during the night, happened to bump into an electrician on the way out who advised he had disconnected the heater as he was replacing it! The convector heater was connected but this didn’t work. I did inform staff on check out but no apology. I’d think twice about staying again.

Apologies your room had no heating during your stay.We have just had the heaters replaced in all six of our guest rooms; the electrician was advised which rooms were occupied so that the heaters in these rooms should still have been working so that no-one was left in the cold. We do hope you will come back and stay with us again in the future. Apologies again.

Hi Rajesh, Glad you enjoyed your stay. Our location is remote, you must make sure you come and stay again in the summer and you can enjoy the beautiful evenings and star light skies.
