'Four In A Bed', so would we go back? YES defo!

Booked the hotel as a 'base' for visiting a local concert, pubs and clubs. The owners were great, very friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The room was OK, well presented but we had a problem with the heating (it didn't work) and although there was the offer of a heater, this was too late for us. The Hot and Cold taps are incorrectly labelled, so after washing my hands in cold water 3 times I then found that I was brushing my teeth in warm water (not good). Decor in the room was nice although the quality of wall papering and painting was mediocre at best. Breakfast was excellent, full English with toast (jams, marmalade, Nutella etc) and fruit juice. No doubt, like most people before us, we couldn't help checking for dust as the hotel had appeared on 'Four In A Bed' back in 2019 (there was dust on the wardrobe. LOL). Would we go back? Definite YES. Thank you.

Our stay was next to awful but not because of the hotel but because of this hotels.com site everything we booked was false on this site, our booking confirmation included breakfast everyday for 5 days, we booked a king size bed and free parking, on arrival the reception had only 1 pesron booked in although our confirmation stated 2 so they booked into a single room as king sized rooms and beds dont exsist here, so false advertising, we were refused breakfast because they dont do bed and breakfast although again our confimation shows breakfast included everyday, and there was no parking at all although our confirmation stated free parking, all false advertising and had we of known all the above we would have never booked this hotel. Not the hotels fault though its hotels.com for false advertising, we will be taking this further, the only thing that was the htels fault is that within our 5 night stay they never once gave us towels or changed our bedding, in fact nobodys even empited the bins, they never even came in the room, that was disctusting, our holiday was totalyy ruined through this site, aviod at all costs , as when you want to complain there is no form of doing this, theres a robot chat which says she cant help etc, theres an email address which doesnt work, and a phone number which cuts you off after 20 minutes waiting. Aviod hotels.com, we will be taking action, but be warned this is a very dodgy and unhelpful site, steer clear at all costs

Bad Experience

We arrived at the hotel hoping to drop off our bags because we knew we couldn’t check in until 2pm, the hotel was in darkness so we left and went back at 2.30, still the hotel was in darkness I phoned the number on the wall outside and a guy answered the phone we told him we had a resavation, he asked me what time and I explained the paperwork said we could check in at 2pm he said he would send someone around to let us in, we waited about 20 minutes . Someone arrived and gave us a key to the building and a key for our room. When we asked about breakfast he said they don’t provide breakfast although we had payed for breakfast upfront through hotel’s.com. Once again I phoned the number on the wall only to be told to take this up with hotels.com has he didn’t know why they advertised it as bed and breakfast. We were the only people staying at this hotel which was unpleasant all the rooms still had keys in the doors that’s how I know we were alone in the building. We did try our best to enjoy our stay by staying out as long as we could because there was no life at the hotel. We didn’t see any staff. We had planned to have a nightcap in the hotel but no bar. We did plan to have a sleep in but couldn’t wait to get up and leave. We couldn’t get a shower the following morning because the shower didn’t work and there was nobody there to contact to take a look at the shower Room 5 and I certainly wasn’t phoning the guy again. This stay has put me off Blackpool for ever.

Lovely room with a very soft, comfy bed. Clean en suite and tea/coffe making facilities. Alan and John are both helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

Schönes kleines Hotel

Das Hotel ist wohl das, was ein Engländer als perfekt bezeichnet. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, morgens zum Frühstück steht ein Namensschild auf dem schön gedeckten Tisch. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstr. und ist trotzdem zentral. Wenn man mit einem fully cooked English breakfirst zufrieden ist, ist dies das richtige Hotel. Das Zimmer war klein, aber in Ordnung. Zu zweit wäre es aber schon etwas eng gewesen.

This was our 2nd stay at the Lynbar Blackpool. Both times we enjoyed the excellent service especially the breakfast. Location is good for all the attractions Blackpool has to offer. Will definitely be back next year.

Jewel In the Town

Have stayed at the Lynbar last year and am as impressed now as I was then. The owners are friendly and welcoming, lovely dining room / bar, breakfasts to die for with many choices and includes mini pastries. The room was very comfortable with every that I needed. Shower room had been upgraded and looked amazing. Only 2 - 3 minutes from the Promenade and 5 from the town centre and its multitude of restaurants and bars. A great weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was tidy and clean. Hotel is very close to most places. The breakfast was fresh and with our names on it, pretty interesting hotel If u want a Victorian style combined with abit of modern features I.e the bathroom looks newly fitted. Would go back again.

A real gem!

Although this guest-house looks like many others from outside along the same street, it is outstanding inside. A warm welcome is extended by owner, Lionel. He gives helpful information about meals, use of front-door keys after hours, directions to the nearest shopping mall and places of interest, and he willingly assists with any queries or requests. The room, bed, towels and bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh. Breakfast is a real treat, starting with the lovely printed welcome-card with your name on it at your table. The table-setting is exquisite down to the last detail. Lionel's wife, Sara, cooks up am amazing breakfast. The service provided by Lionel and Sara is impeccable. The location is excellent -- a 3-minute walk to the inter-city National Coach Terminus, a 10-minute walk to the Blackpool North Railway Station, and a 5-minute walk to the shops, Winter Gardens, pedestrian malls, restaurants and supermarkets, the Blackpool Tower and seaside. I'd definitely stay there again.

Excellent Guest House

A lovely Guest House run by Lionel & Sara. Paying attention to detail they have thought of everything to ensure you have a great stay. Quality food for breakfast with plenty of choice. Personalised name cards on the tables a nice touch. Cute little pastries for after breakfast. Comfortable bed, lovely and clean and very friendly. Very close to attractions, a good location.
