I stayed for 4 nights. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good showers. Ideal location for Winter Gardens and attractions.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The staff and down pub area was nice, but the rooms needed a good update and clean. Our bed frames were broken, window was moldy its handel was broken and floor board were sticking up. They was no remote or buttons to turn on the tv. No lift
Paid for food and all we got was toast cereal and hot and cold drinks.
But the staff were very friendly and the food was nice, the hotel is a minuite walk to coral island arcade and a mcdonalds, room had a kettel, private bathroom which was good.

Pretty average for Blackpool
TLDR: Average hotel (compared to the rest of Blackpool), clean and friendly, great location.
Stay here again? Unsure
The hotel is in a superb location, one street from the front and right next to the shopping centre and Coral Island. If you plan on staying somewhere and then walking around rather than driving - can’t fault it. We found the cheapest parking is the shopping centre - £14 for 8-24 hours, and it’s next door.
The staff were very nice, friendly and welcoming. Let us store our pram downstairs instead of carrying it up to our room. Check in and out was easy.
We didn’t try the food onsite so can’t rate it, but they did a continental breakfast for £7pp.
The hotel was clean, our room had been cleaned prior to us entering as you could smell the cleaning products. The cups were clean (some reviews faulted this). There was some work being completed outside our room but this looks like it was a leak - so not their fault. Our room had a tv with aerial which worked, a kettle with tea and coffee, and a basic bathroom with a shower (a little small).
Like many small hotels in the area it had no lift, although it did have a stair lift up to the first landing.
They had a bar, pool table and punch machine thingy.
The only reason we’re unsure if we’d stay again as we will likely choose a chain like premier inn. These will have better amenities and be newer - since we travel with a 2 year old, it’ll make things easier.
What's a great hotel and the staff was really friendly

Great location and friendly staff
Room was bit bigger than most we have stayed in at Blackpool, staff was friendly. Could of done with being a bit cleaner but not too bad, would stay again if price was lower as feel it was quite high for the standard.
Great stay in Blackpool. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel. It’s currently under going a refurbishment and the new rooms are to a high quality. I also had a drink in the bar and a chat to the owner Martin. He’s a really welcoming and friend bloke and made our stay extra special.
Good central location, near Winter Gardens. Room very basic but beds and linen clean and comfortable, although stubbed my toe on leg of metal bed frame, ouch!! Couldn't turn TV on, remote didn't work and couldn't find power, or any other button, on the TV. Shelf under the TV was dangerously near to one side of bed, had to avoid that side for fear of banging into shelf. Had to move kettle to plug into socket near bed as no socket in coffee making area. Not luxurious but not as bad as some reviews I have read
The hotel was run down paint coming of walls and doors
Breakfast was cerial or toast I paid £10 extra for breakfast expecting full English breakfast
Total price for 2 nights should been £140 with vat got charged £176
Unfortunately didn’t look nothing like the photos had 20 refurbished we ended up in one that wasn’t. All miss matched smelt funny needed a make over.had all dirty marks over the walls a shame really because the owner was lovely
The cleanliness of the room was awful, dirty cups, bin not emptied from previous visitors.
Mold in the bathroom shower, dirty marks on bathroom walls. Shelves in bathroom hanging off wall
Absolutely terrible. The room smelled like fish as soon as we went inside but we couldn't locate the smell at first so assumed it may have been residual. There was also stains on the wall, broken furniture and torn duvet covers. Later on when we pulled the bed sheets back, we discovered that there was damp urine in the bed. I am absolutely disgusting by this because what on earth?!?! The bed had been made around it!! The staff offered another room for us however if it hadn't have been 1am when this was discovered we would have left and booked somewhere else. In the morning we asked for a refund, the manager was very unhelpful and not very apologetic at all. Apparently nothing could be done without the owners approval and said they would call me the next week to discuss. I have had no such call. I urge everyone to stay far away from this hotel.
