「This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. 「Alles was heel proper, de kamers op het gelijkvloers leken al een make over gehad te hebben, de kamers op bovendieping nog niet. Er is geen lift aanwezig, dus als je slecht te been bent, beter beneden boeken. Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd in het restaurant er vlak naast, deze was dik in orde, niet super uitgebreid maar wel voldoende keuze. Personeel steeds super behulpzaam en vriendelijk!」

The very few Staff that were there (if you could find them) were lovely, but I couldn’t overcome the feeling that the place had been deserted and left to rot. Breakfast near inedible but evening meal was ok. Nonetheless, not terrible value for money.」

「I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). 」

「We attended for a wedding, the venue and all the staff were amazing. Our room was missing a put up bed which was organised straight away and many apologies were revieved. The room was spotless although as the bathroom window was open while we partied away, a team of bugs decided to enter and party in our bath tub! Not the hotel's fault but did need to keep the door closed to make sure the party didnt expand to the bedroom and did make us feel a bit yucky by morning. The joys of having nature at...

「Nice looking hotel in a lovely location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. Waterfall country is about a 30 minute drive away. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was on the slightly pricey side but it was excellent quality.
