「The Settles is a beautiful old hotel and the premier structure in Big Springs. It has been totally remodeled and restored to its former glory. Unfortunately, there’s not much else in Big Springs, though there is so much potential in this town. The hotel has a restaurant which is okay, though there’s not much else to choose from in the town itself. The rooms and especially the beds are awesome. It is not cheap to stay in this hotel, but the beds make it worth it.」

「Getting to property no good road. You can either take partially finished with gravel, or go by all the dumpsters. I-20 noise due to proximity. Difficult to get back on I-20 west.」

「King room we reserved, was located on the 5th flr. Ok, but the elevator was non-operational. I walk with a cane, 2 bags, no way. The hotel accommodated us by providing a handicap room w/2 double beds. Breakfast was good and we left happy. 」

「Very nice staff but whenever I would get my room serviced they would take my trash out and not replace the trash bags.」

「I know what to reasonably expect for hotels at this price level and we are very disappointed. There is no amenity except one bar soap. There is a coffee maker but no coffee nor tea. The worst is the towels. They are very old. The we found the bed sheet has stain and the pillows smells. This is close to unacceptable.」
