"Nice little hotel with a friendly staff and a cafe. Great self-service system to pick up you key card 24/7. There's a bike/e-bike rental across the street which is super convenient to ride to the beach/city without the notorious parking hassle."

"We have stayed here a couple of times on route to Spain via France. It is a beautiful location convenient for travelling but also good if you want to explore a little bit of the coast. The hotel is clean and well equipped. The food and the breakfast are excellent. It is easy to park directly behind the Hotel."

"The hotel has been created out of an old school and it’s lovely to see it given a new life. We liked having breakfast in the garden (which used to be the playground) and having a walk down to the fantastic beaches and cafes of Guethary. We had a room on the second floor and it was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also big and very clean- but I prefer a separate shower. The breakfast was lovely quality and very relaxed, we liked the long tables to share with other guests. I would like the possibility to make hot drinks in the room, but everything else at Balea was perfect."

"The property is nice, the rooms are very clean. I love that there’s a lot of trees in the property and around. It is a little bit far from everything but there are markets nearby and the bus is really easy to take. My only complaint is that when we arrive, the man at the reception told us that we had not paid, he charged us for our stay, we could not get the receipt from Expedia because we had no Internet, and he would not give us Wi-Fi until we paid. After connecting to Wi-Fi I could get the receipt, but since it was late at night when we arrived and we were tired, we had to do it until the next morning and they did give us a refund But since it takes 3 to 5 business days, we are still waiting for our refund. That was a big inconvenience for us and it wasn’t pleasant to get into an argument with the staff."

"Site agréable, très belle vue. Par contre, manque de rangements ou d'étagères surtout dans la salle de bain. 2 serviettes pour tout le séjour, cela fait très peu. Nous avons été obligé d'en racheter."
