"We stopped for just a few hours to sleep, but came in after midnight. The gentleman at the desk was incredibly accommodating with waiting for us to check in. The bed was surprisingly way more comfortable than other more expensive hotels we’ve stayed in and the room was very clean. Water pressure for the shower was great and there was a reasonable continental breakfast available upon checkout."

"This place is a gem. We loved our brief stay at this charming, old-school lodge on a lake. We were welcomed with mulled cider (adult mix), brownies, and kindness by a charming hostess who turned was helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and well appointed. We had a lovely view of Laurel Lake. The bed was comfortable and the bedding of high quality. Breakfast more than met our exectations. We can't wait to come back!"

"I had not visited the Ponds for 30 years. It has not gracefully aged. Condo unit has not been updated since it was built in the early 70s and it shows. Drafty and slightly damaged doors, slow drains in the bathrooms, furniture and rugs that show damage and age, and a clubhouse in need of updating. Front desk staff not very friendly or useful, odd because they don’t have a lot of foot traffic this time of the season. There are other similar facilities in the area that might be worth exploring versus this tired old place."
