Fijn verblijf, zeker aan te raden, zeer vriendelij

Erg fijn verblijf, zeer vriendelijke en open mensen. In de bedrijvigheid van Church Streat toch een rustig hotel, met bomen, terras, rust. Erg genoten!

Great location, great garden restaurant, poor room

Highgate is greatly located at the end of Church Street, the 'pub street' of Bangalore with many places to shop, eat, have a beer. The 'garden'/White Room restauran quiet and peaceful oasis, good food and service and pleasantly designed. The rooms are so-so, shower was working poorly, difficult to get hot water in the evening, the free wifi at my floor wasn't working until my last day. Hotel service is so-so (wifi not working for 5 days), I was promised late check-out against half-a-day's rate but then when I had to make the payment I was charged a full day! I would go back due to the great restaurant/garden and the location, but the hotel itself needs a shape-up and service improved.

Convenient location. Disappointing stay

First of all, must say its one of the best located properties in Bangalore in the price range and the staff are polite and helpful though lack training in hospitality. However, they checked us in to a standard room whereas we had booked for a deluxe room. awful restaurants, wifi that doesn't work properly . No nonsense rooms with bare necessities. No alcohol or choice of restaurants. Such a strategically located beautiful property but poorly promoted.

what to say

third floor has split system A/C. Bathroom had Washbasin down pipe leaking made the floor wet where i was standing and it was 11 pm i complained and was shifted to next room without any apology. Found even this room bathroom had leaking down pipe from the wash basin and when complained to the night manager AGAIN was told on phone that if you have any complaint take it to the maintenance dept. mind you it is 11.30 at night now I AM MOVED AGAIN.TO THE LAST ROOM IN THE CORRIDOR. Most of the staff are good, day managers and restaurant cooks are great, central a/c is not at all effective It was a bad experience overall but with fantastic food cooked.

Nice friendly staff. Accomodating that they allowed me to have early checkin around 0800hrs after getting off the train. Room was clean need to sort out the heating for water as takes a long time before becoming warm. Wifi system a bit clumsy to sign in with a foreign phone

Okay

The wifi was not working, but they provided a public computer to compensate. That was okay, although it did cause people to wait. Even the local phone connection could not be made from the room. The reception made calls on your behalf. Apparently there was a problem with the phone network which affected the Wi-Fi. Overall, things could have been better, but the staff did whatever they could to minimize the discomfort. Okay experience.

Great Location

Very convenient to stay and reach any part of Bengaluru from this hotel. Nice open lawn and fore court, great coffee in the coffee shop called SOHO

Receptionist is rude

The receptionist named Lata is really rude is any statement she will make. for example if its 1145 AM she will call and say, "Hello... Your checkout time is 12" in an unpleasant tone. I thought it could be lot more polite, coz nobody is staying there for free. Apart from this there breakfast is horrible, they have very limited options. Waiters will not really wait on table... you need to really find them to get something ... Only good thing in the hotel was the rooms which were good from the perspective of 3 start hotel. Overall the courtesy was missing everywhere and receptionist should rather be a CEO of the hotel, being a receptionist takes a lot of courtesy and sweetness which I have seen in other hotels.

I selected this hotel based on the photos & the guest revives & when i stepped in i realized that it is a great pleasure to be in this hotel. hospitality,cleanliness,comfort & food ,all are excellent.staff is very cooperative.Just 2 km to the palace.
