Lovely little place Not too far from Nottingham or Derby but in a lovely setting. The food was first class as was the service. I will definitely be returning

Fantastic little place

Lovely clean, comfortable room, slept like a log. Service in the bar/restaurant was superb. Got there just before the kitchen closed on a Sunday and nothing was too much trouble. Will 100% stay again.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Great food, good pint, reasonably priced. Obviously recently refurbished, very comfortable and quiet room. Zero complaints and will very happily stay again.

A good night’s sleep!

It was a pity that breakfast wasn’t served on a Monday morning but my room was superb, the staff very friendly and helpful - a quiet night’s sleep! 😊

Just an overnight stay at the canal inn and must say couldn't fault it whatsoever. We had evening meal and breakfast which was excellent. The room 06 was spotless and spacious. We would both highly recommend the canal inn to everyone and look forward to visiting again.

Comfortable, welcoming, great food + drink

We enjoyed staying there and it was ideally located to give a break on our journey. It was comfortable and clean in the room and the pub. We were made very welcome and the practical arrangements for room access very easy, though access is via stairs. The food in both evening and morning was delicious, as the local ale too. It was easy to get to this location and very near to tourist and leisure destinations in Derbyshire.
