Excellent location close to all the action in Belfast but situated in a quiet country location. 15min drive to the city airport. Very well apportioned rooms with plenty of space, amenities and friendly helpful service from the owner.
A wonderful and personal experience with the Peartree! A quick 15-20 minute ride into the city and a secluded retreat with unbelievable views. The hosts were exceptional. We truly enjoyed our time.
Peartree Hill is a haven where you can get away and relax. There are chickens on the property as well as a little koi pond. Avril and Ian take beautiful care of the house and grounds. The bathroom is modern and upscale. There is a lovely tub in the room we rented. The breakfast was delicious! We had to leave early the last day so Avril packed us a yummy picnic breakfast. I would highly recommend Peartree Hill. I hope to visit again soon.
I recently had to drop everything and fly home to Belfast because of a family emergency. I simply Googled “Best place to stay near the Ulster Hospital?”. A fantastic 5-star review appeared about Peartree Hill. I genuinely had more in my head so I simply made the booking. A few minutes after I received an email from Peartree Hill if I had any special requests. We arrived late at night and was greeted by Avril. She was so kind and had everything ready for us. I had a really long day traveling behind me and a hospital visit so I simply fell into probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. When I awoke I was looking at a beautiful view of Scrabo Tower and the stunning Irish countryside. A complete state of the art en-suite bathroom complete with floor heating. Strong WiFi, fridge, wide screen TV. Although I spent most of my time in the hospital, when I would come home I needed nothing. The room was cleaned, beds were made and Avril even placed a small jug of fresh milk in the fridge for my cup of morning tea. It was such a relief just not to have to worry about anything apart from the reason why I was there. If you are an author or screenwriter this is a hidden hideaway. Complete peace and quiet. It’s 10 minutes from Belfast City Center and 10 minutes to the East coast. They say every cloud has a silver lining. Well, I lost my father but found a new home away from home. Thank you Avril and Ian for making us feel so welcome.
Excellent stay and the breakfast was fantastic. Will be booking again when we’re back in Belfast

Beautiful and peaceful with amazing views. Arvil was such a helpful host and breakfast was delicious. We love our stay and highly recommend it to our friends.
A wonderful and beautiful B&B ran by a lovely couple. Right from the moment you arrive until you depart, you will love this gorgeous place. Thanks Avril for your warm hospitality.
Wonderful stay. Beautiful property inside and out. Superb and attentive host. Comfortable, quiet and safe. Outstanding dining recommendation. Breakfast was wonderful. Lovely area. Would be happy to stay here again.
Avril really set the bar high our first night in Northern Ireland. She was very kind and hospitable. Great breakfast and beautiful views from the home.
We loved the view out the window, the separate entrance to our bedroom, the spacious bathroom with the heated towel racks, the breakfasts were delicious and the common areas with fireplace were cozy and welcoming. Avril does a great job making people feel at home. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Pear Tree Hill B & B.

Beautiful views of Irish countryside, Irish Sea and British isles beyond . Breakfast was abundant delicious and beautiful to see. Averil is a talented and friendly hostess. Highly recommend!
The property was immaculate and the owners were warm and inviting. It was nice to wake up each morning with a delicious homemade tradtional Irish breakfast. This place is a hidden gem and worth the commute for a restful nights sleep.
I work away weekly and often stay at hotels rather than Bed and Breakfast accommodations, but after my stay at Pear Tree I have a complete different view and would recommend Pear Tree to anyone for Business and Pleasure within the Belfast area. I will certainly be looking to stay here again in the very near future. Service and the hospitality was second to none, food was fantastic with such a welcoming and caring approach. If you have the opportunity to stay here you certainly wont be disappointed!
Best Ulster countryside stay minutes from the city
From outside the front door, through the detail of our room, our hosts were very Covid-aware and respectfully sensitive. Yet the welcome was still as warm as we would expect from Ulster hosts, and the food miles were minimal which made it all the more delicious. We wanted for nothing. The attention to detail is obvious, and is so worth it. The views are amazing and the peacefulness was just what we needed.
I've never had such a great experience on a stay like in these 2 days at Peartree Hill.
The host is really looking after you and wants to comfort you during the entire stay, never had such a quick and great service.
The breakfast ingredients came from the local suppliers, which were always really high quality and freshly prepared; I can really recommend the pancakes with the Marple syrup at this point ;-) !
Especially the bed and pillows were really comfortable which will make you sleep through the entire night an morning.
Since this experience, i would rather choose a bed & breakfast over a hotel, because you would never receive this intense care and attention or selection of high quality furniture or food in a comparable establishment in City Center Belfast.
We're looking forward for our next stay!
Beautiful room on par with the best hotels, reminded me a bit , of the g hotel in galway!! Breakfat amazing couldn't recommend it highly enough! Yes it's a bit pricey but it's also a bit special!! Don't be worried that it's a b and b!! It is more private and quiet and beautiful than any hotel!!
A paradise place, hosted by the kindest couple we’ve ever seen, the view is better than on the pictures, the amenities are perfect, a really good place to go even for a night, it’s something to see and to live !!
Thisiew incredible was easily the best accommodation on our ten day trip through Ireland. The room and facilities were 5 star and far exceed most 4 and five star hotels. Our host was very helpful and served an artisan breakfast of local food. The room was large, the bathroom excellent and the v
We were greeted on arrival by Avril, who is a superb host. Avril gave us the tour of the property and some fantastic local knowledge. Once we were settled in to our beautiful room that met all our needs and added a beautiful rural view. The location allows for a very peaceful stay and in the morning we started our day with a delicious breakfast. There was not one thing about our stay we could fault. We would certainly stay here again.
Lovely house in a beautiful setting in the countryside! The welcome was more than expected with tea made after a long journey. Breakfast is easily the best breakfast I’ve ever had on an overnight stay and I’m a very busy traveller! I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone!
