This hotel is newly renovated, rooms are really modern, and comfortable. Housekeeping is on point here! Reception crew though is questionable ... my room was prepaid at reservation stage, together with my colleagues room. Few hours after arrival, I notice the reception had just randomly charged me for 850USD, upon checking with them they say "you need to pay for your room". I asked "well, once should be enough no?". When I could produce the payment receipt, it took a while to acknowledge that indeed the room was fully pre-paid weeks prior to arrival.
2 out of 3 nights, there was no hot water in the shower in the morning, water was freezing cold. The recommended remedy of the engineering was "let it run for 20 minutes", which is simply outrageous in a country riddled with every possible utility scarcity in the book. How wasteful!
When coordinating for check-out timings with the reception, they tried to give me the "we are 100% occupancy". I burst out laughing. Three nights I hadn't met even one person in the elevator, in the hallway or even the lobby ... breakfast was a lovely VIP experience, 5 staff doting on my colleague and me as the only guests every day. But well, nice reciting job of the reception crew. All fair and square, just dose it right with the right crowd and don't make a fool of yourself, haha.
