Excellent stay with friendly staff. Beautiful setting on the lake. Great quality of food and facilities. Only negative is that the bathroom is a bit small for 4 people, and not much other dining options nearby.

We are a family of five with three sons and this place was perfect for us. We had a suite with a great view of the lake and we really enjoyed walking on some of the surrounding trails. The room had all of the modern conveniences and the breakfast was amazing. We really enjoyed staying here.

The hotel was fantastic for our family of four. It was very clean, scenic and serene. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The breakfast had perhaps the best food we had out of our 5 days in Switzerland and was included in our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area was nice, quiet, historic and about 20 min from Lucerne. Highly recommend. We had a great time.

We had a fabulous stay in the Stanserhorn Room from June 20 -25, 2025. The room was large, comfortable, with a balcony and spectacular lake views. The bathroom was modern. Staff was friendly and competent. Breakfast was decent, drinks were lovely, dinner was good too. 2 items for consideration: - Please consider adding warm steel cut oats (preferably with milk and berries) to your breakfast offerings for those of us who are vegan / lacto-vegetarian. - Please consider providing some sort of storage space in the shower area for additional toiletries and / or clothes. -

This is a very nice property in a gorgeous, serene, area. The restaurant is amazing, and the breakfast superb (not just your regular buffet but also included are made to order items). So beautiful, quiet and away from all the tourism in Lucerne. These are spacious apartments. They have a nice coffee bar set up. The local 311 bus is reliable like a Swiss luxury watch It was our best stay in Switzerland, but it would be even better if they had a gym on site. The pillows were also a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, excellent stay!

Hotel Nidwaldernhof was a little out of the way but totally worth it for the views from the restaurant, the incredible dinner and best breakfast buffet on our entire "grand tour of Switzerland" trip. The pillows could be replaced and the A/C was on the fritz due to the rain the night before. But the lodging was a great deal for the free amazing breakfast.

The lake view from the room is beautiful. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast well done and dinner tasty and reasonable. Parking is tight and not easy but free. Now for the downside. The rooms are not quiet. Wood floors throughout so you can hear every step from the room above. Even worse is the loud buzzing heard from what the staff said is the main AC unit. Every few minutes day and night. Not even a white noise machine and earplugs helped. So hard to fall/stay asleep. Wouldn’t go back for that reason.

The hotel has an enviable location on Lake Lucerne. The views from both the terrace and room were breathtaking. The room was clean, comfortable and well presented. My children loved sleeping upstairs in the eves. The food is local, generous and well prepared. You eat literally sitting yards from the lake with the mountains facing you. The main plus though are the staff. They are extremely professional, know their role and do a great job in allowing ypu to have a fantastic stay. I will definitely come back. If you like their website, you will love the hotel and the staff.

Outstanding: environment, service, cuisine. Easy access from highway, lake access, parking, beautiful rooms and views. We are practically planning driving routes now to require an overnight there. That's a top-notch hotel! Their consistent concept about what's important is winning.

The guy that worked on May 26, 2025 was very rude and aggressive towards us. We were charged before we checked in and wanted some clarification and he assumed that we wanted our money back and started to get very nasty. There was no need for that. If your guests are confused or misinformed, it’s your duty as an employee to kindly explain things so that their stay is pleasant.
