「The property is an updated 70's style motel - good intentions but not really hitting the mark, especially for the price we paid. The makeover still leaves the old structure underneath. My biggest complaint is that the room was musty and had a moldy smell, which made it uncomfortable. The staff was fine; the outdoor seating area was cute. The food was okay. The restaurant advertised itself as more refined than it actually was. There weren't really any amenities other than the restaurant.」

「I found the staff very helpful, especially the young man who worked over night. We experienced a slight problem, and he could not have been nicer. He represented the hotel extremely well. Breakfast was uninspiring but generally good. The view from the breakfast room is lovely. The common areas seem a little tired, but the room was very good value - especially as we overlooked the lake. 「Okay place to spend a night but don’t expect any service. This place uses remote “staff” to run the joint. I called the “desk” around 6:30 pm with a request. Got a call back around noon the next day, when we were well on our way. No soaps, no shower cap. Only plus was an urn of good coffee in the otherwise empty lobby. Not much for $160 or so.」

「As is probably the case, it was pretty much an ever so slightly more upscale version of Motel Six. For the rates we paid I would expect they could do so renovating. The toilet barely flushed and the hard water stains on it could probably easily be removed with basic cleaning.」
