"A grand old Hotel, beautiful and majestic, in the public areas. The room was small, no microwave or fridge, & the toilet was much too low, not up to present height standards. Too many stairs, especially the entry. Alan kindly helped with our luggage, and got ice for us, on another floor! Only one machine was working in the hotel. The meals were fantastic, the staff excellent and our Ukrainian waitress was very attentive and pleasant. No discount for disabled Veterans, and no ramp for entry. We are in our 80's and found all of the stairs difficult. My husband has a fused spine and I have COPD, so stairs can be challenging. No directions for TV and it wasn't working. Alan came to check it and the power cord was twisted around the coffee maker! Housekeeping should have spotted that, and there was no laundry bag. We owned a house in Florida for 37 years, and stayed in many hotels going and coming back, so do know what to expect from a Hotel. We feel that the rooms should definitely match the Hotel's appearance & unfortunately this one does not!"
