Großer Arbersee is a lake in the Bavarian Forest, Bavaria, Germany. It lies at an elevation of 935 metres and has a surface area of 7.7 hectares.

Bayerisch Eisenstein is part of Bayerischer Wald and borders the first German national park established in 1968. The town is both winter and summer resort. In the summer walking in the forest and mountains is popular. In winter, winter sports prevail concentrating on the Gross Arber mountain.

Well kept church and grounds in the village of Haidmühle in Germany, near the border with Czech Republic. The area is popular with cyclists and hikers.

In Haidmühle there are a few guesthouses, bakeries, and a small supermarket.

It's a 15 minute walk to the Nove Udoli train station on the Czech side of the border.
