Great pool but that's about it

This is probably the biggest hotel in Battambang and popular for conferences etc. The salt water pool is fantastic. My room was clean but grubby to say the least. There were massive stains on the floor and walls. It really needed decorating and a good deep clean. The reception staff were lovely. However when I came to check out I was asked to pay for the room though I'd already paid through expedia. Sorted that out and they then told me there was a glass and skippers missing from the room. Went back up with the guy and all were there. Not the best of stays. It's also a longish walk or a tuk tuk ride into town.

Luxury at a bargain price

This was a luxury stay at a very reasonable price. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It was great having the big, wonderful pool after a hot day. Breakfast offered a lot of food and a lot of choice. People behind the desk could have been nicer, food service at the pool was disorganized and the hotel is a bit far from the center but overall this was a great stay. I would happily stay here again!

spacious room and great pool

This is a big hotel with at least two buildings, I had to go to another building to make a phone call, use a safe (which was actually just a drawer in reception) and eat. The staff were very smiley and helpful but did not speak much English. My room was large and clean. Breakfast was better if you went earlier, the food was fresher, but there was a good selection. The pool is wonderful and there is a nice pool bar. I had hoped to rent a bike but they were all unfit to ride. There is also a sauna etc which I did not have time to use, offering reasonably priced massages and treatments and a gym. Everything was fine except for the lack of a safe in my room and the distance from town.

Ok men inte mer. Taskig frukost med mest sunkig mat och asiatiskt. När vi skulle checka ut kunde de inte se att jag förbetalt och vägrade släppa iväg oss trots att jag visade kvitto. vi var nära att missa vår buss till Phnom Penh på köpet. Kändes som ett väldigt gammaldags och segt hotell överlag. Om man var fler är två i rummet fick man betala för de extra personerna om de ville använda poolen även om man redan betalt extra för att vara fler på rummet...

Awesome Stay!

Had an awesome stay. Room very spacious and had everything I needed. Wifi was good and when my password didn't work the staff were helpful and issued another one immediately. Pool very nice. Staff welcoming and lovely. Great stay :)

hotel très éloigné du centre contrairement à ce qui est dit sur le site. Piscine entre deux bâtiments, pas du tout agréable comme environnement. Petit déjeuner TRès médiocre au vu de prix (pain de mie blanc, thé lipton et confiture d'orange : pas de fruits, de crudités... pas du tout à la "hauteur" du soi-disant standing). Mieux vaut loger dans le centre assez charmant de Battambang, et aller manger le breakfast dans les nombreux restaurants de la rue 2 1/2. Coût des prestations EXORBITANT (tickets de bus, location de vélo, tout au double du prix !! + mensonge éhonté à la réception pour expliquer le prix : soi-disant nouvel an chinois. Nous avons été vérifier en ville, et bien sûr c'était faux !A vouloir prendre les touristes pour des imbéciles, voilà l'avis qu'ils récoltent : n'y allez pas !

Khemara Battambang Hotel - better places available

The Khemara Battambang Hotel has all the amenities you would expect in a 3 star hotel, but there are nicer places to stay for the same money. The room was large, the air conditioning and ceiling fan worked, but there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. For a wet-room type shower this was a problem as the whole bathroom got wet which was quite dangerous as we kept slipping on the floor. Despite several requests to provide a shower curtain (there was a rail & hooks specifically for this purpose) a curtain was not provided. The bathroom also was not particularly clean - there was shampoo on the back of the door when we checked in which was still there 2 days later and there was stuff on the tiles on the wall which I didn't really want to look at too closely. There were also stains on the floor in the bedroom where water had run down the wall and the marks had never been cleaned up. When we walked on the floor barefoot our feet were filthy afterwards. The food also left a lot to be desired, but there are some fabulous restaurants in town so this was not an issue for us. The pool was salt water, but goggles are available on request. Unfortunately the pool was over-run with children which made it difficult to relax or to swim. Overall this hotel is ok for a couple of days, but I couldn't have spent a week there.

Great facilities but far from town.

The Khemara I hotel was a pleasant surprise. I hadn't been expecting such nice facilities: the pool was gorgeous and the fitness room well equipped. My room was well appointed but unfortunately it had not been thoroughly cleaned. In fact, I had to ask housekeeping to get rid of an extremely loud screeching lizard that had taken up residence behind the bed! There were also some small roaches in the bathroom and closet area, but otherwise the room was clean. I've seen much worse, but the room maintenance and cleanliness could have been better. The location was a little inconvenient, but that's what you give up to have the amenities at this price. Tuk-tuks and moto taxis are waiting just outside if you need a ride to town - just be sure to haggle with them first!
