Everyone at the hotel were so helpful and kind. Especially Jasmine at the hotel reception was so wonderfully cheerful and lovely, she let us choose our own music to play when we were the only customers in the lobby bar. The hotel breakfast was really delicious and had a lot of options, and it only cost 15e! If you asked, you could also get gluten-free bread. The train station is very close by, so it was easy to get to Basel where we were at the Eurovision Song Contest. My sister and I recommend this hotel, it's really good for the price. Greetings from Finland!

Second stay at Base 1

I first stayed at Base 1 just before the Covid pandemic. Excellent hotel, lovely rooms and wonderful staff. A few hundred meters from the Swiss border. If visiting Basel in Switzerland, why pay almost 3x to stay in Basel ? Easy bus & tram rides into Basel, although i use a car. Great little hotel & I would highly reccomend ! Excellent !

We liked it. The breakfast time and place was not very clear. In the information of the hotel they told it was in an other hotel at walking distance. But that wasnt true, it was in the same hotel we saw when we left the hotel

We made a reservation for 4 but their we're only 3 beds. They offered no solution and afterwards we received only €20,- back. And at first they only offered a voucher. The hotel was situated in a old building next to a gambling centre whit strange people.

Totally overpriced, felt like total scam. Had booked a spacious family room, got a regular double. Very old building, no lift. Bathroom has been renovated but obviously by an amateur, not finished. Both windows were broken. Although non smoking room there has been clearly smoked and disguised by refresher spray, ugly smell. Lady at ckeckout was nice though.

Utenfor centrum, ettersom spisestedet rett v hotellet var stengt denne kvelden, var det langt til nærmeste restaurant til fots. Valgte KFC som lå rett ved, greit nok det. Hotellrommet lå i en slitt blokk rett ved bygget der resepsjonen var. Hyggelig personale i resepsjonen.

Wir waren eine Nacht im Hotel nicht im Haupthaus sondern gegenüber wo untendrunter eine Bar/Kneipe war man konnte garnicht richtig erkennen wo der Einganh war. Noch dazu direkt im Eingang standen 2 Große Wägen für die Wäsche/Handtücher. Oben am Zimmer angekommen war der Eindruck der Eingangstür schon sehr enttäuschen. Im Zimmer direkt rechts befand sich das Bad was ganz ok war. Es gab genug Handtücher und die Betten war sauber. Das Laminat war schlecht verlegt und gab unter den Füßen nach. Die Wände und Decken sind sehr schlecht verputzt. Ich musste mich überwinden dort zu schlafen. In der Nacht kühlten die Wände ab und die Kälte strahlte regelrecht. Wir waren in Zimmer 22

Ein sehr einfaches Hotel, welches derzeit renoviert wird. Mein Zimmer war sauber, jedoch noch nicht renoviert und auch nicht sehr schön gestaltet. Die Lage ist in Ordnung. In die Innenstadt brauch man ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Dafür stehen kostenfreie Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Der Service an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich!
