Would be a very difficult place to check into when it’s dark. No lights come on to show steps leading into the place. And barely...

"Wonderful spot to relax and very close to everything for exploring including the Faro train station. The only thing is the owner acts like paying guest are an inconvenience and anytime you ask for anything he is quite irritated. "

Excellent location within the city that is walkable to all the key sights. I was delightfully surprised they even cooked breakfast for you instead of having eggs out in a chafing dish. "I loved my stay at the Oakmoon. I was the only one there for two days, so I had free use of my spacious room, plus the open-plan full kitchen and living room area and the funky little interior patio with hand-painted mural. The house is on a narrow street of mostly private homes and a few bars and restaurants and close to plenty of other restaurants, shops, the marina, cathedral, laundromat, etc. Sarah, the house manager, is friendly and very helpful, if you need anything.
