I had one night in Bari by myself and chose this property. It was exactly as I expected. Super convenient to shopping & food choices. The waterfront and historic buildings are not far. I felt safe as a solo traveler . Easy to get to airport either by train or Bus 16 from Bari Centrale , a short walk from hotel 😊

The property is well located, and the communication with the host was good enough that getting checked in was smooth. The only thing that could be better is more dishes & utensils: cups & spoons in particular. Restaurants in the area are good.

Ottima ubicazione e ambiente curati e funzionante

There was Spam email associated with this property which made me uncomfortable checking in online. So waited and realized the message I received was correct under different name! Took some time to figure this out and had to wait for the check in process, instructions for entering the building.. etc. somewhat frustrating process especially when theres no one at the property and porters bell address B@B was missing on the front door panel..

Although the accommodation itself was fine, if it were evident that this is a self-service check-in, I would not have chosen this venue. It was inconvenient to have to navigate all the written instructions and provide uploaded images of the requested documents.

Rating: 2/5 The room was acceptable and clean, but several things were broken, like a table. The worst part was the air conditioning, which supposedly was set to 16 degrees, but the temperature never dropped below 30 degrees. We spent the entire night sweating and could barely sleep due to the heat. There was no one to contact in person, only through WhatsApp, and they didn’t offer us any help. The beds were okay, but nothing special, and the room was extremely small. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

This property is in a great location. walking distance to the harbor, old town, historic buildings and lots of shopping. Although the street outside was lively, inside the apartment was quiet. The apartment was clean and instructions on how to enter were very clear. They even set me up with a contact for a ride from the airport who was equally as responsive, communicative and gave very clear instructions. There is no housekeeping, which was fine for our two night stay. no restaurant or bar. we had plenty of extra towels, the bed was comfy and once the air conditioner kicked in, the room temp was tolerable. the kitchen amenities were enough for us. i would definitely stay here again. Just know that the staff do not really speak english. not a criticism, just an observation. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again. the price was very reasonable too. if your looking for lux and plush, look elsewhere. But for simple, basic, convenient and inexpensive, this place checks the boxes.

Molto comoda ai servizi, in via pedonale, silenziosa e confortevole. Camera ben arredata, pulita e ben accessoriata con bollitore e macchina caffè, molto funzionale... Personale gentilissimo e disponibile.

Very satisfied with our stay!

We were very happy with our stay at Re di Smirne. The staff and hotel owner were very nice, and allowed us to check-in early (10am). The room was very clean, spacious, luminous, and all of the furniture (bed, sofa, shower) was extremely comfortable. The internet speed was also surprisingly fast. It was very quiet, and the location was amazing - very close to both the train station and the old city. I will definitely book this hotel again when I go back to Bari.

Property is in a great location, not too far from the train station. There is also a lovely cafe (Cafe Murat) literally outside the front door. Ideal for breakfast! Owner was also amazing! So welcoming and helpful with any queries we had about where to visit or eat. Would definitely stay here again if I was in Bari.
