"After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "Hotel itself was great. Room was clean. Location cant be beat. Staff were very friendly. The only reason i rated it less than perfect had NOTHING to do with the hotel. Cannot stress enough—-the hotel was terrific! Heads up to travelers. The town of Portosin is nearly dead in the off season. The town (and many others in the area such as Porto Do Son) need to figure year-round activities to encourage ongoing tourism. "Historical hotel in the heart of Santiago de Compostela, just a block away from the cathedral. It feels like you are using a (well-kept and comfortable) museum as lodging. The Comedor Monumental was exactly that, monumental and artsy. Fresh and varied breakfast, included in the price. Staff very courteous and accommodating. Excellent and memorable hotel! "

"We finished walking The Camino in Santiago and decided to treat ourselves to a night at this Parador, It was a great call! The hotel is magnificent. Fabulous location. Great staff. Room was just perfect (and it had a bath which was heaven after walking 23km!). Bed was wonderfully comfortable. We had supper in the hotel restaurant which was a delight and well priced. The hotel is the most amazing building and you could spend hours just wandering around it, admiring the architecture. Breakfast in the morning was also really good. The only complaint - we kept getting lost as its a maze and there were some renovations going on. Overall a fabulous stay and we wish we had stayed two nights rather than just the one!"
