"Great position. Helpful friendly staff. Pool area partially covered and people were smoking, not nice as it lingered so did not use it. Private beach area beds were dirty and we saw non residents abusing them and not taking their rubbish away. Other than that the hotel was very nice. We would return. Felt safe in the resort"

"We had a wonderful stay at Riad Chbanate. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly makes this place special is the exceptional staff. A heartfelt thank you to Hisham, Gregie (apologies if I’ve misspelled your name), Samira, and the entire team. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, and the Moroccan tea was some of the best we had during our trip. The location is ideal if you prefer being closer to the beach. The main medina and other attractions are about a 10–13 minute walk away, which we found very manageable. We highly recommend Riad Chbanate to anyone visiting Essaouira. Thank you again to the entire team for your outstanding hospitality!"

DAR AMASTAN by RIAD LE BONHEUR DE MOGADOR?

"I had a wonderful one-week stay at Dar Amastan during the Gnaoua Festival and would happily stay here again. This riad had only been open about a month when I visited, but the hospitality was exceptional. The location is excellent—an easy walk to the medina, beach, restaurants, and festival venues while still being peaceful. The rooftop breakfasts were a highlight, with fresh orange juice, traditional Moroccan breads and pancakes, eggs, honey, amlou, olives, and other local specialties. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Rita, who made my stay feel especially personal. As a thoughtful farewell, they even gave me a small handcrafted wooden bowl when I checked out. The room was comfortable and clean, and although I didn’t use the spa, the hammam and massage area looked beautiful and the prices were very reasonable. My only suggestion would be to explain the breakfast routine to new guests at check-in, as I wasn’t always sure whether to go directly to the rooftop or check in downstairs first. Thank you to everyone at Dar Amastan for making my first visit to Essaouira such a memorable one. I hope to return someday."
