You get what you pay for, which is why I rate the property generally average. I was there for the eclipse, so only needed a place to shave, s..., shower, & sleep - so didn't need much. The room was clean, other than the "tacky" floor. At least someone wearing shoes wouldn't be able to sneak up on me! I solved the issue by walking around in my socks. I wondered if a bug bomb had been set off and never cleaned up? Could also explain the mysterious chemical / industrial cleanser smell that hit me when I walked into the room... The shower valve was a mystery. It would spin around and around. I cracked the code - turn right to the coldest setting (according to the expanding blue indicator line) and leave running for a few minutes. Turn back to straight up and it's sort of off! Once you discover that luxurious temperature setting, it's best if you're a small woman or child. I'm 5'10" and could have engulfed the shower head in my mouth if I needed a refreshingly tepid drink. On a sad note, it's difficult to clean your feet when wearing socks... The toilet works fine, but when flushed will startle you into thinking you just provoked a hissing pit viper, but the expected spray of toilet water never manifests so you won't confuse the toilet with a bidet. As far as the good, no news is good news! All in all, it had a nice beat and I could dance to it, so I'll give it a 3.5 (on an unidentified scale). NOTE: I only stayed in ONE room.
