"Very authentic historic hotel with atmospheric bedrooms and public areas. However restaurant extremely expensive and for us delivered poor food, scallops with sickly cheesy sauce and slab of dubiously cooked monkfish. Breakfast self serve great but cooked selection much less so, tasteless fry for me and undercooked watery mushrooms on soggy sourdough for wife. In summary great looking hotel let down by poor overly expensive food."
