The location was excellent but the hotel itself was not well maintained. Our room has items left from another guest and it hadn’t been dusted in a while. It also did not have air conditioning.
Stay here only if all other hotels are booked. Rooms terribly small, very hot with no air conditioning and staff hit and miss at the counter. Waited for 20 minutes to check in because no one was at counter. It appeared they only had one person to check people in and clean the rooms???
Only plus, good location downtown. Way too much money for the place.
I chose this hotel mainly because of its central location, which was the most important thing for me. Since I spent most of my day outside and only came back to the hotel to sleep, I wasn’t expecting anything luxurious and didn’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews beforehand.
However, I was still surprised by how poorly maintained the room felt, especially considering I was paying around $600 per night. Even something as basic as having a decent kettle would have made a difference. The window screen was broken, the window itself didn’t open and close properly, and there is no air conditioning, although I was aware of that before booking.
Overall, the location is excellent, but the rooms could definitely use more care, maintenance, and better basic amenities. For the price they charge, I think the overall quality of the room should be much better.
Room was basic and clean but dated. Terrific to be central but found it noisy from rowdy crowds outside.
Staff were responsive to requests for towels but rooms not routinely cleaned each day. Free parking a perk!
Parking was a bit of a pain, we had to walk into it through bear st, as we couldn’t access it through the other door-we could get out that way but not in. Otherwise decent spot, great location.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room and hotel are basic and are a good economical choice for Banff. In room ameneties include coffee, fridge, shampoo, and body wash. The mattress is older, but other than that, the room was comfortable. It said parking was included, but there was no parking available when we arrived. We were told to park in a public parkade. However, you need to move your vehicle every nine hours. The location is the best!
