「Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.」

「My room was accidentally assigned with 2 twin beds instead of my king/twin setup I booked. The manager of the restaurant, Owyn, gave us free entrees at the restaurant (North) and a free dessert since we were on an anniversary trip. He turned a bad situation into a great memory!」

「Probably one of my favorite locations I stayed in all of Ireland. The breakfast was an amazing spread and she will also make you something hot to order. Lovely room with an amazing view overlooking the lake. Not much to do nearby so the perfect getaway in the country! Will absolutely book again if available when I'm back. 」

「This property has a lot to offer as a bed and breakfast option. Strandhill is a charming seaside resort with a definite surfer vibe. The services not offered by the hotel are easily accessed nearby. The reception staff were very helpful. The issues that prevented me from giving a five star review were the badly worn carpet in the bedroom and the 3 minute 'make-up' service.」
