"A very comfortable hotel. The impressive foyer and classy piano bar reminded me of a cruise liner. The whole of the hotel looks to have been recently repainted and all is very clean and well maintained. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Ps. "Kings House is the oldest guest house in Douglas and Miriam and Robin have taken on a big project to renovate this beautiful house. They are gradually renovating the house so certain aspects have not been completed but this wouldn't put us off returning. Miriam couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was really great with good quality coffee made fresh in a cafetiere. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and the shower good. The room was serviced each day and a plentiful supply of quality teas, coffee and hot chocolate to have in your room with lovely biscuits refreshed each day. We stayed 4 nights to meet up with friends and they were equally pleased with their sea view room. Nice quality towels and a heated towel rail so they were warm and dry each day. Kings House is in a great location and easy access to the electric railway station and horse drawn tram station. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk along the promenade. Don't miss Summerhill Glen very close by. A beautiful wooded walk with bluebells and wild garlic when we visited and some other additional surprises."

"The room is modest in size but immaculate and very comfortable. The staff was terrific, particularly the front desk. Warm and helpful. The restaurant staff are all charming. If I were to quibble, the meals could be a lot better. Still, A for sincerity."

"Staff all very friendly and very helpful.room was clean and comfortable albeit set up as a twin ( understandable given the TT visitors at certain times of the year ) , only let down in the room was the shower over the bath , not very powerful and with a narrow bath the shower curtain stuck to you , plus and this does irritate me is grab rails and soap dispenser are always in the way , why put the soap dispenser on the side wall , stick it on the back wall next to the shower ? Plus grab rail on the wall should be further back towards the rear of the bath as I can't believe it's any use to someone with mobility issues where it is ? That aside , the looky bar was good as was the food , staff excellent. The paragon restaurant, we used only once for breakfast which was excellent, plenty of choice and again Staff excellent. On the last night we dined in the Chinese restaurant downstairs and that was excellent, great value and staff excellent again and without doubt the best music playlist in the background, organised by the young lady behind the bar. Plenty of parking covered by CCTV . Overall very good just the shower in the bathroom let it down."
