I stayed 4 nights and did day trips to Poreč, Rovinj, and Pula. The village of Bale, where Hotel La Grisa is located, is worth exploring too. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. The bar and street cafe seating are very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Unfortunately 1-star service for a 4-star hotel. Not for all but several employees working at reception. Watch out how they charge you unreasonable prices for massage and then sell the actual fair price as "of we make an exception for you". Did not manage to turn on the sauna on time as agreed on in advance and did not even manage to say sorry for that. Also sauna was running out of water. For a 4-star hotel with these prices, you have to make sure things are working. Whoever the owner is, please invest in better personal. Especially the ones at reception. Also very weird to have cameras in the sauna without saying anything. Hotel itself is sweet with 14 tiny houses and also Bale I found it very pleasant to stay.

Die Konzeption 5 bis 6 mittelalterliche Häuser zu einem Hotelkomplex zu vereinen und diese damit vor dem Verfall zu retten ist nicht nur originell, sondern erschafft eine sehr reizvolle und persönliche Atmosphäre. Dazu zählt auch die Lage inmitten des Städtchens mit seinen engen Gassen, die nur für Fußgänger zugänglich sind. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Personals sowie die vorzügliche Küche.

Charmant hotel pour la famille dans ce village

Nous avons séjourné une semaine (7 nuits) dans ce charmant hotel ****. Nous avons eu la suite 209 (chambre/suite familiale avec un salon/chambre-canapé lit pour nos 2 enfants, équipé d'un minibar frigo, une très belle salle d'eau et WC (pour les enfants) très spacieuse, et une autre chambre individuelle pour les parents (plus petite) avec une autre petite salle d'eau/WC. Dommage, les parents auraient dû avoir la grande chambre (mais le canapé lit convertible est certainement moins confortable que le grand lit de la chambre indépendante). 2 climatisations indépendantes sont disponibles dans chaque chambre, uniquement en vitesse 1 (assez bruyant quant même) ou 3 (mais peu de différence de bruit et de rafraîchissement entres ces 2 vitesses (même si en ce milieu d'août, il faisait chaud à Bale (entre 18 et 22 la nuit et entre 26 et 32° la journée). Parking disponible en face de l'hôtel (d'une quarantaine de place), juste de l'autre côté de la rue (à 20m de l'entrée de l'hôtel restaurant La Grisa). Le petit village de Bale est très joli à voir (de jour comme de nuit), et est un lieu idéal pour voir l'Istrie pendant une semaine (bien placé pour desservir les principales villes côtières). Nous n'avons dîné qu'une seule fois au restaurant de l'hôtel, préférant le petit restaurant sur la place du village à 2mn (dénommé Konoba Istra).

Amazing 10th century town that was like being in a Disney scene. Nice hotel. The superior room was not worth the extra. Didn't see anything superior about it, but super helpful staff and standard room would be worth it all the way!!!

PERFECT

This is a fantastic place! The architectural remodel of the old buildings left the character intact but made a modern light comfortable space. We loved walking around the village, breakfasts were great and we thought dinner in the restaurant was so good we went back a second night. Also the beach pass for the Mon Pieron beach allowed us access to wonderful swimming. Fabulous mulit-lingual staff. PERFECT.

Wonderful Experience at Hotel La Grisa

We loved everything about our stay at Hotel La Grisa! This boutique hotel is an excellent example of modern redevelopment of a historic property. The result is a stylish and comfortable enclave in the small village of Bale, which is located very near Rovinj (12 minute drive). The on-site restaurant is excellent and offers very good value for money. Very friendly staff and service. Highly recommended!
