If you travel or Pinhão, don’t take a car. The roads are tricky and the trip can last two tedious hours in each direction. Use the train. It’s easy, fun and you’d see more of the river than you would’ve had with a car.

While Ribadouro isn't home to many top sights, Monastery of Santo André de Ancede and Caldas de Aregos are some notable places to visit nearby.

The staff was most welcoming, efficiant and helpful. The balcony with river view was wonderful. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room was special.

We stayed here for about a week with our children aged 13 and 11. We loved our time here, the estate the apartments are on is beautiful. The apartment was clean and the staff are friendly and very responsive. Breakfast was delicious too.

Hotel needs a serious upgrade / revamp, walls dirty and carpets worn and dirty. Couch in room dirty; horrible mattresses and pillows; hair in beds; carpet stained, worn and dirty; walls marked and scuffed; kitchenette terrible - taps and sink dirty, extractor oily and smelly. Not to mention the TV... ...
