Black Isle stay.

Very nice property and location. Would recommend for any large family/ friends trip around Inverness and Loch Ness area. Clean, comfortable, warm and very easy instructions for check in. Ideal for self catering with all the kitchen requirements you could ask for. Great property.

A great base to explore the Black Isle

The Red Kite apartment was spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and shower was fabulous. (There are 4 showers although we only used one!) Essentially the apartment is made up of four ensuite bedrooms of which two are now the sitting room and one the kitchen. If you put anything in the fridge remember to turn it up on the dial inside! We couldn't figure why things seemed warm despite it being on at the socket. The owner hadn't contacted us beforehand but a quick call when we arrived got us the code for the door and we were inside in minutes. This would be perfect for two couples or small family. 👍

Lovely property easy to find on the main road. We were given a large family room which was bright and airy and nicely decorated. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice.

Good place to stay

Staff were lovely and did their best to make us feel welcome, but the Hotel is old, very tired, lacking atmosphere and about to change ownership apparently. The light in the bathroom of our very basic room was not working, and it felt as if the minimum was being done for guest accommodation at present, and there were no evening meals available at all so we had to travel 3 miles along the road to a Restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was however very good.

Well worth the distance from the A9

This was a lovely stay, with pleasant staff, and a very acceptable room. Breakfast was fantastic and served with a smile. Nothing was a problem. As a business traveller, it is just a bit away from the A9, but if I have time to spare, I will definately chose to stay here again, rather than than some of the bland Inverness hotels. Lady behind the bar in the evening, Thank you, Chap who served breakfast, Thank you. I will be back.

Good points:Tremendous breakfast. Big rooms. Good shower Downside: Bar closed at 8 pm Very noisy at the rear where the bedroom was in the basement with barrels clanging for two hours. Can’t fault the price. Good value for money

Scottish road trip

Great town and friendly hosts. The staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely. Room was comfortable and larger than I thought it would be. The local restaurant/ takeaway places were very good too. We would stay again.

The Station Hotel in Avoch is exceptionally clean, the staff very friendly and personable, excellent shower, complimentary chocolate pn bed, tea and coffee and biscuits provided. The brealfast was enormous and delicious . I Sked for a poached egg on toast and wS presented with 4 beaurifully cooked eggs. To cap it all the price wS very reasonable. For 3 adults, paid £100 for one night iwhich included breakfast

Frühstück in Ordnung, genügend Parkplätze vorhanden, aber schlechter Instantkaffee, hellhöriges Zimmer, sehr unbequeme Matratze (man konnte jede Springfeder spüren) und schlecht durchdachte Raumbestückung (Spiegel hing in einer Ecke, in der man ihn nicht sinnvoll benutzen konnte, Wasserkocher musste man quer durch den Raum auf dem Boden benutzen). Alles in allem für eine Nacht mit Frühstück akzeptabel, würden aber nicht länger bleiben wollen.

Excellent hotel, excellent food.

Breakfast was above and beyond. Fresh fruit, melon, blueberries, strawberries all fresh and excellent. A wide range of cereals. Various choices of cooked breakfast ; only complaint portion size too big. seemed to be quite a few plates with food left. However it was excellent and well cooked. no complaint there.
