Happy with quality and price

Very clean. Staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt. Great location as well. I was concerned with what I would get for the low price they offered but was very happy with everything. I am in Austin regularly and I will stay here again.

It was my wedding anniversary and we got there pretty late but all was smooth and thank you to the front desk night shift for making it easy and the room was great. Nice n cold clean roomy love this place. Location friendly staff. I will definitely return.

It was comfortable for the 8 days we stayed. The staff were nice. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the water pressure in the shower. The only thing I can complain about are the towels that were provided in the room. When room service changed the towels out, they were replaced with stained white towels and another persons hair engrained into the fiber of the towels. Other than that, we had a good stay.

Just gimme a WiFi pw like every coffee shop!

Only complaint is ridiculously convoluted process for connecting to WiFi. Had to spend half an hour on the phone with tech support - twice! Why can’t they just use a password like everyone else?

Great and helpful customer service from friendly front desk guy (Cedric), who helped me work through a problem that befell me (my arrival was delayed by a day because of a minor emergency, and he helped me troubleshoot my reservation when I needed to re-book because of the delay). The location of the hotel also was great because it sits at intersection of two major highways. Great place and competitive price for extended stay, with a big-box store within walking distance for essentials. The room was cozy and included everything I needed, including a comfortable bed. All in all I was very pleased and would definitely stay here again when visiting Austin.

STAY AWAY!!!! The staff is unfriendly and uncommitted. I stayed for 3 weeks. My car was broken into and two times I had bugs in my bed. No response from the management. They refused to provide video recordings to the local police after I filed a report. For 10 days the only elevator in the „hotel“ was out of order. I happened to stay on the 4th floor. Total disaster. The stuff was hiding. The laundry is a dirty filthy place. The front loaded washing machine was full of dog hair and even after me complaining wasn’t cleaned. Stay away from this place!!! YOU DESERVE BETTER.

Could not check-in due to unwritten clauses

Was not able to check-in, even though I reserved a room in my husband's name. I am awaiting an ID from DPS, and the photo copy of my ID that was mailed to me was (as told to me by Uptown Suites staff (a Hispanic Male and a Caucasian lady who said "they" were the manager)) was not acceptable to use to register as a guest. I was humiliated and embarrassed as a result of this experience. I had caught a Lyft to Uptown Suites with a lot of bags and was eventually told to vacate the premises or APD will come to escort us off the property since I could not "properly pay.. or produce correct documentation to present upon checking in". I was upset and totally disappointed. And, I was still charged outrageously.

Refused to refund overcharge

This is a nightmare from hell. I reserved online to stay at this place from Feb. 13 to Feb. 20, 2024. When I arrived at ~11:15 PM. Feb. 13 and showed the clerk my ID, she told me there was no record of my reservation. I then showed her my confirmation number from Hotels.com. After checking further, she located my reservation and told me the reservation was canceled, due to mistaking my reservation for that of another person they tried to refuse access. She told me she could not restore my reservation. Eventually at 01:15 AM, her boss sent her an email and my reservation was restored. She then proceeded with the registration process. After coming back home and checking my credit card account, I found the motel charged me one more night (Feb. 12, 2014) for "no show", in addition to my 7 nights' charge. This extra charge was totally baseless. I called 3 customer service phone numbers of this motel for several hours, only to be told to go to the motel's website to complain, which I did on Feb. 28, 2024. As of June 11, I haven't received their response yet. I visited this place on May 20, 2024, talked to the manager in person about the overcharge. She told me it was their practice to charge one night's charge the day before the actual arrival day of the guest, and the clerk forgot to cancel that extra charge when I registered. She said she would take care of it. 22 days later, my credit card account hasn't received the motel's refund.
