We got there 1.5 hours after allowed check in. Staff seemed confused about what room to put us in.. I think they gave us a room that is normally intended for monthly renters or someone just moved out. It smelled of bleach, toxic cleaning chems, and floor was sticky when we arrived. The paint was stained and peeling, only one of 2 stove tops worked, the electrical outlets were worn out, the beds had no blankets or comforters.. and the front door was hard to open and close okay, no big deal right? One or two roaches came out the first night.. okay, not great.. second night dozens of roaches came out. Couldn’t find another hotel as it was F1 weekend. They moved us to another room far away from roach room 201. New room only had 1 cockroach so that was a huge improvement. Now reading many Google reviews this has been going on for some time -for some reason the person at the front desk acted surprised. The staff was nice.. not sure if I acutely rated them with 3 stars. But I think they were aware they putting us in a roach infested room, hence the confusion. Lastly, with the neighboring transients and weekly/ monthly renters my daughter did not feel safe being outside the room.
