Smelt badly of marijuana & cigarettes as soon as you step in + the rest of the hotel. Checked in and the room they gave us was dirty and still had trash/food all around the room. Wasted my money, I didn’t even feel comfortable staying there we checked in and left within the hour the place itself was filthy and in bad condition. I would not stay here at all even if you paid me. Just play it safe and spend an extra $60-$80 on a better hotel this was a waste of my time and money.

The unit at Extended Stay offered a spacious and a well-equipped kitchen favoring a long-stay. The kitchen supplies such as pots and pans can be requested at the front desk in exchange of a deposit. The hotel might want to consider stricter smoking-in-the property guidelines to ensure that the hallways are smoke-free and prevent non-smokers' exposure to second-hand smoke via the ventilation systems or common areas (i.e. hallways) Property is close enough from the downtown area by car. Public transportation though available takes about 45 to 55 minutes. The staff at the property was friendly and respectful. The price was reasonable for budget conscious Travellers.

The only good thing about my stay was the staff. The cleanliness was horrible, and there is a pest issue with this building. The minute you walk into the halls and past the front lobby, the smell from the floors, walls, and rooms were rancid. The smell of smoke is suffocating, and the broken elevator does not help (which from what it looks like, has been broken down for months now based on other reviews). The rooms are not well maintained and there are dead insects and dust in every corner/drawer/cabinet. The only exception I had for reason to finish my stay was because the staff was so helpful and kind and extremely polite. He tried to help with every issue I had. This hotel needs a proper cleaning before accepting new guest.

This is a safe little way station. It doesn't look like it but it is a safe place to rest your head. Miss K was a big help on checking in and allowing for a paid late check out. This is a basic place to stay but allows you to rest safely while spending your day exploring Austin.
