We booked this hotel for 2 reasons; they had an in room hot tub and a bar/restaurant onsite. We paid $40 extra per night for the 2 nights for the hot tub room. The pictures on expedia looked great. However, when we checked in we learned the bar and restaurant was empty for renovations, and the hot tubs had been removed from all the rooms. Unfortunately, we couldn't switch to another hotel due to the basketball tournament in town. Also, the pool was "open", but not really accessible due to the pool area renovation. Workers were sanding and painting the railing, which was just a couple of feet from the pool, so we would've been covered in paint chips. The hotel manager said they've told expedia repeatedly to remove the pics of the hot tubs and to list the bar as closed for renovation but they haven't done it. When i called expedia, the rep said they didn't see a hot tub room option, even after i pointed him to the specific room booking and the third pic of the hotel clearly showed the hot tub. He contacted the hotel to verify these options were not available, he informed me that the contract disclaimer I agreed to stated that expedia is not responsible for amenities not being available. I asked if they would at least credit me back the extra fee I paid for the hot tub room, expedia was firm that they would only give me a one key credit that was less. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years, but this is by far unacceptable. I'll look into other travel sites next time.
